Chapter Fifty-One: The Final Battle Part 4

"Well, it seems we're all back together," Saria sighed, looking at her friends. Everyone had met back in the lobby and was staring at the central tower that led to the top of the castle.

"Are we ready to go do this?" Joey asked. Ryan and Ashley reached into their decks and pulled out their Triforce Destiny Cards.

"What are you doing?" Yugi asked. Ryan and Ashley held the cards out to Saria.

"Take 'em. You'll need them if you're to defeat Kaiba," Ryan replied to Saria. Saria gasped.

"Are you sure?" Saria wondered. Ashley nodded.

"You're going to need them if you hope to stand a chance against Kaiba. Besides, I'll bet my scimitars that you want revenge for what Kaiba did to Teran," Ashley said. Saria nodded and took the two cards.

"Saria, are you aware that taking revenge will solve nothing?" Yami asked as Saria slipped the cards into her deck. Saria nodded.

"I know, but I feel that I have to avenge Teran. After all," Saria explained, pausing to recall Teran's brave deed, "he did save my life. If he hadn't held off Kaiba at Needle Rock Tower, we would never have made it this far. I owe it to him to bring down Kaiba once and for all." Yami nodded.

"Then lets go already!" Joey shouted. Saria nodded and the group began climbing the winding staircase. As they climbed, they couldn't help wondering what lay ahead of them. When they reached the top of the stairs, the group entered a large room where the walls were made of mirrors. Standing in the center of the room was Kaiba, who wore a large purple coat that flowed clear down to his ankles. His watch was already prepped in its duel disk mode.

"Welcome. I'm glad to see you made it this far but unfortunately this is the end of the road for you," Kaiba greeted. It was then the mirrors began to glow a rainbow of colors, blinding all but Kaiba. When the glow faded, the group found themselves standing in a large stadium whose audience was real Duel Monsters.

"Kaiba! I challenge you to a duel!" Saria shouted over the crowd's roar, pointing at him, "It's payback time for what you did to Teran!" Kaiba looked down, his grin widening.

"You still thinking about that pathetic runt of a duelist I defeated earlier? Whoops, I forgot! He was your best friend! And I suppose you're here to get revenge right?" Kaiba asked. Saria frowned in anger.

"Well, I suppose I could duel you. I don't need a god card to beat your pathetic skills so step up here and face me!" Kaiba commanded. Saria immediately sprinted forward and with one strong leap, landed on the raised platform, duel disk ready.

"Oh by the way Yugi, Anubis wants to see you. He's up one floor," Kaiba added, pointing to a newly appeared staircase, "If you want to see him, go now." Yugi frowned.

"Why should I trust you?" Yugi demanded.

"Because your friend, the pharaoh has to face him in a rematch that's why! So go upstairs now or you'll be very sorry!" Kaiba replied shooting Yugi a glare. Yugi reluctantly looked to Saria and then the stairs.

"Go Yugi! Leave me to this, all of you! This is something I must do myself!" Saria commanded, not looking away from Kaiba.

"But Saria..." Tristan began.

"I said go! I'll join you as soon as I defeat Kaiba!" Everyone stared at the coldness of Saria's eyes.

"Lets go guys. It's clear Saria doesn't need our help," Joey said in a soft tone. Everyone but Ryan looked at the teen girl one last time and then sprinted upstairs.

"Ryan!" Saria shouted.

"I'm not leaving sis! Someone's gotta make sure you keep your head. You need me, whether you like it or not," Ryan replied in an even tone. Saria looked her brother in the eye and noticed the grim determination written on his face. Saria nodded and then faced Kaiba.

"Well kid. The battle for the future of the world begins right here, right now so let's duel!" Kaiba grinned, the lift point counters on the duelists' duel disks flashing 4000 points. Each duelist drew five cards each and then Kaiba drew a sixth card.

"I'll go first and I summon Ryu Kishin Powered (1600/1200) in attack mode! Then I'll place two cards facedown to end my turn," Kaiba declared, summoning a dark pink monster with razor sharp claws, a large mouth and an armored body.

"That monster is pathetic!" Saria said, drawing a card, "I summon Neo the Magic Swordsman (1700/1000) in attack mode! Then I'll place two cards facedown too." Saria watched as her swordsman materialized onto the field.

"Neo the Magic Swordsman! Attack Ryu Kishin now!" Saria commanded. Kaiba smiled as the swordsman neared his monster.

"You amateur! You've activated my Shrink card!" Kaiba shouted, revealing a facedown card, "This magic card will cut the attack points of any monster on the field in half but then again... It's not your monster I'm after!" Ryan and Saria gasped as Ryu Kishin shrank, cutting its attack points down to 800.

"And now that my monster is weak enough, I can activate this! My Crush card!" Kaiba added, revealing his second facedown card. Saria gasped as a pink mist covered Ryu Kishin.

"This trap card can destroy all monsters with attack points higher than 1500, crushing every strong beast in your precious dueling deck!" Saria stood wide-eyed as Neo cut down Ryu Kishin, destroying it. It was then dark mist spread all over her monster, killing it. It then covered her hand and deck. Saria watched as a good chunk of her deck went to the graveyard.

"You should thank me Saria. A weak duelist should have weak cards," Kaiba grinned, his life points dropping to 3100. Saria then began to laugh.

"Kaiba! You are so predictable! I knew you'd activate a Crush card so I activated a trap of my own! Behold my Monster Regeneration card!" Saria replied, revealing one of her two trap cards. Kaiba and Ryan watched as ten of Saria's cards in her graveyard returned to her deck.

"My trap card sends ten monsters back into my deck when you send cards from my deck to the graveyard," Saria explained. Kaiba drew a card.

"I'm not impressed and now I'll play Familiar Knight (1200/1400) in attack mode!" Kaiba declared, summoning his knight, "And now I'll attack your life points directly!" Saria fell onto her back as she was slashed, reducing her life points to 2800. Saria then watched as Kaiba placed one more card facedown.

"Your move kid!" Saria drew a card and gasped.

"OK Kaiba! I play the magic card, Frontline Base!" Saria began, summoning a large wall behind her.

"What does that do?" Ryan wondered.

"This magic card lets me have an additional summoning if I summon a Union class monster," Saria explained, "So first, I summon Dark Blade (1800/1500) in attack mode!" Saria watched as Teran's favorite monster appeared on top of the wall.

"And now, I'll activate Frontline Base's ability, which allows me to summon Pitch-Dark Dragon (900/600) in attack mode!" Saria added, summoning a large black dragon to her side.

Oh no! She's going to activate Pitch-Dark Dragon's special ability! Kaiba realized.

"And now my Dark Blade! Mount your dragon and increase your attack points!" Saria commanded. Dark Blade sheathed its sword and hopped onto Pitch-Dark Dragon's back. Kaiba watched as the dragon lifted off the ground.

"My dragon's special ability gives Dark Blade 400 extra attack and defense points so go my warrior! Attack Kaiba's knight now!" Saria commanded. Kaiba watched as Saria's mounted warrior cut down Familiar Knight, severely damaging his life points.

"It looks like Saria's back in the lead!" Ryan observed, a smirk on his face. Kaiba however wasn't smiling.

"You may have destroyed my knight, but its special ability allows us both to summon one four-star monster from our hands and I summon Rare Metal Dragon (2400/1200) in attack mode!" Saria didn't flinch at Kaiba's four-legged dragon.

"Oh yeah! I summon Four Sword Hero (1000/1000) in defense mode!" Saria countered, summoning the boy swordsman. As Kaiba drew, Saria could only hope he didn't summon a powerful monster.

"Ha! You're done as I activate Cost Down! This magic card decreases the star level of one of the monsters in my hand by two, making it easier to summon. And now, I'll sacrifice my Rare Metal Dragon in order to summon my Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000/2500)!" Kaiba declared, using the last cards in his hand in order to summon his powerful dragon.

"And now, I'll reveal my facedown card, Card of Demise which lets me draw five cards but in five turns, I must send my hand to the graveyard," Kaiba explained, drawing five new cards from his deck, "And now, I'll set three cards facedown and send my Blue Eyes to destroy your Four Sword Hero with white lightning attack!" Saria winced as Blue Eyes began charging an electric charge in its mouth.

"I activate the Four Sword magic card!" Saria countered, multiplying her Four Sword Heroes so she had four. At that moment, Kaiba's dragon fired a lightning blast, devastating one of Saria's warriors.

"Sorry! But that won't work on me," Saria groaned as her life points dropped to 1800. Saria then drew a card and gasped.

"I play the magic card, Card of Sanctity, allowing us both to draw until we each have six cards in our hands!" Saria declared, drawing six cards. Kaiba quickly drew four cards to max out his hand. Saria studied her hand and gasped.

"Now Kaiba, I sacrifice..." Saria began when Kaiba sprung a trap card.

"Hold on! I activate Disturbance Strategy which forces you to shuffle your hand back into your deck and then draw six new cards!" Kaiba interrupted. Saria groaned as she shuffled her six cards into her deck and then drew six new cards. Saria gave a sigh of relief at her new hand.

"Well Kaiba, you may have messed up my strategy some what but I can still work with these! I'll sacrifice my three Four Sword Hero tokens in order to summon Princess of Destiny, Envoy of Wisdom (4500/4000)!" Saria declared, summoning her Triforce Destiny Card. Kaiba looked on in fear as the maiden looked at him coldly.

"Next, I activate the magic card, Double Spell, which lets me use any magic cards you used on your last turn. I'll use Cost Down to decrease the star level of this card. Now I'll use Frontline Base to summon my Kiryu (2000/1500)!" Saria added, summoning a large red dragon to the field.

"Now, I'll have Dark Blade hop off Pitch-Dark Dragon and mount Kiryu, making Dark Blade's attack power increase to 2700!" Saria continued, watching Pitch-Dark Dragon return to being a monster but not before Kiryu became a magic card to increase Dark Blade's power.

"Saria, you'll never defeat me with that monster arsenal because I play the trap card, Physical Double, which lets me clone your Princess of Destiny, Envoy of Wisdom for one turn!" Kaiba warned, summoning a pure silver version of Saria's maiden.

"Kaiba! Your plan won't work! Summoning my princess was merely a distraction because I play this, my Lightning Blade magic card, increasing the attack power of my Dark Blade by 800 points!" Saria warned, a sword emanating electricity appearing in Dark Blade's hand. Kaiba's eyes went wide.

"Now Dark Blade! Destroy Kaiba's Blue Eyes White Dragon with lightning blade of vengeance!" Saria commanded. Kaiba however was ready.

"Sorry kid, I activate my trap card, Negate Attack, which will stop all possible attacks for your turn!" Kaiba replied, a vortex appearing in front of him, blocking Saria's attacks.

"Sorry kid, but I'll never be defeated by a twerp like you and now I'll have to teach you a lesson," Kaiba warned, drawing a card, "Physical Double's effect is over so my cloned princess is gone. However, I can now play Lord of Dragons (1200/1100) in defense mode." Kaiba's new monster wore a worn robe made from dragon bones and it had a navy cape.

"And now, I'll play the magic card, The Flute of Summoning Dragon!" Kaiba added, a dragon-like flute appearing in his magician's hands. Saria and Ryan watched as the lord blew the flute, a loud call resonating throughout the battlefield.

"Now, I can summon any two dragons in my hand to the field and I choose my two remaining Blue Eyes White Dragons (3000/2500)!" Kaiba explained, his two dragons hovering next to Kaiba's Lord of Dragons.

"You may have three dragons now, but they are still no match for my Princess of Destiny, Envoy of Wisdom!" Saria pointed out.

"But what if I told you I'm fusing my dragons together with Polymerization?" Kaiba replied, smirking deeply. Saria and Ryan gasped.

"Using the magic of Polymerization, I can fuse my three dragons together to form Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon (4500/3800)!" Kaiba declared his three dragons combining to form the three headed Blue Eyes White Dragon.

"Next, I'll play Pot of Greed and draw two cards," Kaiba said, drawing two new cards from his dueling deck, "And now, I'll destroy your Princess of Destiny by equipping my Blue Eyes with the Dragon Treasure magic card which will raise the power of my dragon by 300 points!" Saria gasped as a golden orb appeared in the Blue Eyes' claws, increasing its attack power.

"Now, I'll play Quick Attack which lets my Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon attack and my target will be the Dark Blade!" Ryan and Saria watched as Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon began charging an electric charge between its three heads.

"If I destroy your knight, you'll have nothing left to protect yourself with!" Kaiba shouted eagerly as his attack fired towards Saria's princess. Saria and Ryan watched helplessly as the attack hit the princess, destroying her and taking 300 of Saria's life points.

"What? My attack hit your princess! But how?" Kaiba wondered.

"Kaiba, my princess is a leader and as a leader, she must protect her people which is why I had to activate her special ability to intercept your dragon's attack and now, I'll take my turn," Saria explained, drawing a card, "Just so you know Kaiba, you were doomed to lose because I will activate my Kiryu's final special ability! By sacrificing it, Dark Blade can attack your life points directly!" Kaiba gasped as Kiryu and Dark Blade flew high into the air. Dark Blade then leapt off its mount, aiming for Kaiba.

"Dark Blade! Wipe out the rest of Kaiba's life points!" Saria commanded. Kaiba groaned in pain as Dark Blade slashed him, wiping out the rest of his life points and knocked him unconscious.

"It's over!" Saria declared as Kaiba fell to the ground. Saria walked over to Kaiba's body and extracted three cards from his deck. Saria glanced at the three cards in her hand and gave them to Ryan as the holograms faded.

"Why did you give me Kaiba's three Blue Eyes White Dragons?" Ryan asked.

"So that you and I can defeat Damon once and for all. Besides," Saria replied, looking at the knocked out Kaiba, "he won't be using them anytime soon." Ryan nodded in agreement.

"Right, now lets go join the others."
