I sat at my bunk, clicking madly at the buttons. Nothing better to do on a Saturday night.
"Up, down, over, over L1 R1 Square, circle, x, triangle," I recited, doing Auron's over drive, Dragon Fang (I think that's how it goes....). Master coeurl. Only fiend on the field. Dragon Fang didn't kill it. Coeurl's turn. It charged up its attack.
"Materialize? That's a new one...." I said, suspiciously.
To my surprise, the blast went through the screen, and hit me!
I woke up, the Lord knows how much later.
"Ooooh, she's awake, Ya?" a familiar voice said, apparently excited.
My vision focused.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'MIN SPIRA!!!"
I knew this, because I was in the Calm Lands, with chocobos running about.
"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Where else would ya be?!" Rikku yelled back, confused.
"uhh..earth?! My HOME, MAYBE?!" I shot at her.
"Kimahri thinks girl is crazy...." Kimahri rumbled in his deep voice.
"She is from another dimension," Auron said, turning his head.
"How do YOU know?" Tidus asked, stepping out from behind Kimahri.
"I've been to Earth."
"Well, unless you wanna stay, ya gotta be useful." Wakka said, smiling slightly.
"You can come with us on our pilgrimage!" Yuna chirped.
"What's her job gonna be, Yunie?" Rikku asked, tapping Yuna.
"Hmm..GROUP HUDDLE!!!" she yelled like a football coach. They all scuttled to the side and talked loudly. I caught snippets of "mage, warrior, thief, NO!!! YEAH!! And, why her?"
Lulu walked up to me.
"You're going to be a black mage, like me...I'll train you as fast as I can."
She handed me a Thunder Moomba, and helped me fasten a Cerulean Bangle to my wrist.
Being christened a black mage, I learned basic spells...but with Fira, watera, blizzara, thundara, and all the rest..I had a long way to go...
