What is an angel?
Some of us think it's someone enormously gorgeous
Others think an angel is God's messenger
What is an angel?
So I set out in the world, determined to find one.
I saw this woman, her jewels flashing brightly
Her laughter sounded like little bells ringing and her hair was the color of honey.
Are you an angel?
Then I saw her rudely tell a man to buzz off.
Guess it's not her.
I saw this rich guy.
Are you an angel?
Then I saw him refuse to give money to a homeless person.
Guess it's not him.
Then I realized.
I started seeing the world with open eyes.
Angels all over the place.
The girl selling lemonade to raise money for charity.
That person giving 20 dollars to a child who didn't have a bus fare.
Little acts of kindness.
To leave the world a better place.
Whether it's just weeding a neighbor's garden
Or cleaning your sister's side of the room.
Angels everywhere.
You just have to see the world with open eyes to find one.
