Move On, Free Yourself

Ropes dropped itself like a slithering snake with slight movement noise. I stood up from my chair and looked over to my shoulders to see my partner also getting up from being tied to the chair. I looked at her, with my soft, creamy pale white eyes.

She looked at me in the eyes, with her piercing pale green eyes and said with a calm, unnerving, emotionless voice, "Go, you're the leader of this mission. You must get back to safety and save yourself. And report to Hokage-sama and say that the mission was unsuccessful."

I looked at her feeling guilty and trying to calm my trembling voice, "But we could escape together."

"NO BUTS!! GO NOW!! Go, before they come back! I can hold them off!!" she had said with a calm but loud voice with hidden fright within her voice that she had tried so much to cover.

I saw her eyes soften to me, which she rarely ever does. "Go, you're my friend, you had helped me more then I deserved. I want to at least repay you that much, your life."

Then we both heard and felt our captives coming from a 500 yards radius, coming from a fast pace from the north of where we are. I saw her eyes widen before shoving my bag with necessity in it to survive a long full journey that we needed in my arms. "Go now! I'll hold them off! Go!" she had said while pushing me to the opposite direction of where our captives are coming from.

"GO!! And don't look back! Run as far as you can!" she shouted to me while blocking off the entrance so that I couldn't enter.

I saw her eyes. It shows all her emotions that she never had let anyone sees for more then five years. It showed her sorrows, her hurts, her dark hidden emotions and most of all, regrets. Regret that she couldn't be with her anymore; regret that she couldn't do all her wants anymore because she knew she wouldn't survive but would try to as much as she can.

And one thing she had done startled me the most, she had smiled a genuine smile that she hadn't smiled for more then five years and she mouthed to me, 'Go. Don't look back. Remember that I'll watch you always.'

Widening my eyes, I realized that I was frightened even though I was in the elite. I was so frightened that I ran with my eyes close so tightly that I swear I couldn't even open my eyes later even if I wanted to. After a while I heard metal clashing to each other with swift and skills from years of training. Even though I wanted to help, even though I wanted to stop, I couldn't.

Because if I did I think I would have seen her smiling so regretfully, anyone could had felt her hurt. Now the only thing I can do is run.

I kept on running towards the opposite direction of where she is.

I kept on running.

I ran and ran.

I ran.

Far away to where a place that I didn't even know exists.

I ran.

I ran without ever looking back.
