Deafening silence
Disclaimer: I will only say this once. I don't own anything except Alexis and Loraine(Lori).
Note: Italicized words are thoughts and bold words are telepathic speech
Chapter one - Silence
(Alexis' POV)
I went up the steps to my house. I knew my mom was home so I rang the bell.
No sound
That's odd I guess the doorbell isn't working.
Then I knocked.
No sound
That's really odd.
I searched through my bag for my key, and then unlocked the door. I had always been mute so I couldn't call to mom to tell her I was home. I slammed the door so she would know I was home.
No sound
This was too weird. I sat down to do my homework but I couldn't find my pencil.
Great, just great.
I looked on the table and saw a glowing pencil.
What the...?
It worked fine, so I finished my homework then put my stuff away. When I looked back to the pencil it was gone.
(No one's POV)
Alexis went to the kitchen to get a snack. Her mother came in soon after.
"Oh, hello Alexis I didn't hear you come in"
Alexis stood up after finding herself an apple and waved to her mother. Her mother took one look at her daughter's eyes and ran screaming from the room. Alexis was very confused and went to look in the bathroom mirror. When she saw her eyes she gasped (silently). The white part of her eyes had turned black while her usually blue Irises had turned white.
She went up to her room and cried herself to sleep as she heard her mother screaming to her father about mutants.
