Chapter two - Mutant

(Alexis' POV)

I heard Mom yelling at Dad. "Mutants are menaces to society. I can't believe we had one in our house this whole time and didn't know."

I cried (silently) at the sound of the word mutant.

I'm a mutant

I was shocked. Mom had made it obvious that she didn't want me around.

I have to leave... tonight.

I packed my school bag with clothes, food, and other essential items, and then I opened my window and took out the screen. It didn't make a sound, as I had suspected. I climbed out and jumped onto the tree next to my house, then I climbed down the tree and ran down the street as fast as I could.

Aerofae: Sorry it took so long (and for it being so short) major writers block, tons of homework, and I don't have many ideas left for the story. Reviews (and ideas) needed to continue.
