Saphira

For centuries a creature waited in a stone

She had no company, she was all alone

She waited still, and overhead

A leaf fell down upon the dead

She wondered when her time would come

But then, her stone began to hum

Intensely a boy peered at her

And then, the creature, she was sure

She had chosen him, of that she knew

And soon they'd be where the wind blew

Flying to adventures in far away lands

A dragon and a lad with impressive plans.
