When Rin Meets Sota

Summary:
She's loyal to Sesshomaru, but the now fifteen-year-old Rin is lonely with staying in his palace all the time. Escaping to Inuyasha's forest, she bumps into Sota! Developing a hard crush on him, Rin goes to visit him at the village nearly every day. Sota begins to have feelings for her, but can't decide for her or his girlfriend back in his own time. And what will happen when Sesshomaru throws an unexpected wrench in the plan? Will Rin's heart be broken for the first time because of romance, or will it be happily ever after?
Chapter Seven: Sleepy Time
Last Chapter:
"Rin, have you got a cold?" asked Mrs. Hirugashi. "Wait here, I'll get you something for that all right?" She left the room then came back with a cup of water and two tiny pills. "Just swallow these okay?"
Rin nodded and did so, the pills leaving an unwelcome taste at first but the water quickly replaced it. She gulped the rest of it down. It felt so wonderful to her dry throat. Halfway through the movie, Rin felt her eyes start to droop.
"Hey, Rin." Said Nodaka. "You look sleepy. Are you sleepy? You should go to sleep if you're sleepy."
"Nody shut up." Said Hajime. "You're annoying."
"So are you."
"You first."
"No you!"
"You!"
"You!"
"AGH!" shouted Hajime yanking Nodaka to the ground. He started to tackled her and Rin grabbed them and yanked them apart.
"Be quiet!" she snarled.
The Story Continues...
Nodaka and Hajime stared at her with wide eyes then shrugged it off. They went back to watching their movie as Rin got up from the couch. Her eyes were drooping and they ached. She tried to stay awake as she went up the stairs, telling Mrs. Hirugashi that she was just going to bed.
Rin walked up the stairs and slowly opened the room. Groaning, she fell into the bed her long black hair draping around her. Part of her landed on something that was hard and she groaned.
"These damn beds..." she grumbled. She barely noticed when the bed moved and something squirmed under her. She heard an exclaim but didn't care. The medicine had dulled her train of thought.
"Rin," said a soft voice. "What are you doing?"
"I am going to sleep Lord Sesshomaru," she mumbled, snuggling into the covers. The voice sighed and a pair of strong arms went around her and she felt the warmth of the covers slowly go over her skin. A small blast of cold air came to the right side of her body where she was facing, and she felt another someone slide in next to her. She lent forward and kissed their soft lips.
"Good-night Sesshomaru." She murmured.
"Rin,"
"Hm."
"Open your eyes."
Rin did and her eyes meet Sota's brown ones. She nearly screamed but calmed down before she did. Her heart fluttered and she tried to get up, mumbling her apologizes. Sota held her down at looked right at her.
"I should go." She whispered.
"I don't want you to." He whispered back. He snuggled closer to her and wrapped an arm around her waist. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers. She stiffened and then kissed him back eagerly. Sota drew her closer to him then slowly pulled away softly nibbling Rin's lip.
"Did you shut the door?" She nodded. "Good."
He leaned forward again, recapturing her lips. They were soft and full and she gripped his shirt. Sota snaked his other hand around to the nape of her neck where the edge of her hair started to make sure she didn't pull away. Rin didn't and instead gently nipped his lip as if to beg entrance for her tongue. Sota had to inwardly smile that she would be the first to do so and he let his tongue find hers.
She tasted sweet, and wonderful. He could never do this with Kasumi she was too shy. Even in pajamas, the feel of her body excited him to a point where he felt ashamed. Yet he felt so good at the same time, and he placed kisses along the edge of her jaw as he felt her smooth hair glide through his fingers. She shivered and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer.
The kissed deepened and Rin found Sota's own tongue pushing deeper into her throat and she welcomed it, as if danced with hers. His hands left her waist and neck to be placed on her collar and find the buttons on her pajama shirt. She didn't refuse him and he undid them, and carefully slid it off her shoulders.
To his dismay his mother had given her one of Kagome's bras to wear and he growled at the fabric between him and the things his hands most wanted to touch. Sota had a hand creep up her stomach and she giggled, and he caught her lips once again. He ran his hand over the fabric and felt two small lumps under it, them being her nipples.
He reached around her back and found the clasp and started to fiddle with it until Rin gave a small groan and pulled her head away. He was sure he saw it in her eyes. A desire to continue was in her eyes. He was aware the same feeling was being reflected in his as well.
"I can't," she mumbled, her lips swollen from their kisses.
"I won't hurt you Rin. I never, ever in a million years would. Please stay." He whispered into her ear as she cuddled next to him, her head in the crook of his neck. She felt the small jab of his chin on the top of her head.
"I know, " she whispered as she pulled away. "But I just can't."
And with that, Rin pushed herself away and yanked up the pajama shirt and put it back on. She leaned over and kissed him one more time but pulled away before anything else could happen. With the kiss as a goodnight, Rin slowly shut the door and Sota heard Kagome's door click. He groaned and flopped back on his bed.
Rin leaned against the door, the tension between her thighs almost unbearable. She took in a sharp breath and rubbed her shoulders as she felt goose bumps line them from being away from Sota's warmth.
'Bad,' she told herself. 'It's the number one rule; you can't fall in love with some who's courting. Stupid Rin. What where you thinking?'
Rin went over to the bed, the affects of the medicine overcoming her again and she snuggled into the pillow, falling fast asleep, her blood pulsing in her ears and through the veins in the crook of her elbows.
The next morning Rin felt better and awoke to someone bouncing on her softly. She moaned and looked to find Yoh crawling on her, yanking at her long hair. Rin smiled and captured him in her arms as he squealed.
"Rin! Rin! Rin!" he said. "Breakfast!"
Rin swung out of bed with Yoh in her arms, flying him. He giggled in delight as they went downstairs and Rin stopped in shock. The person she least excepted to see was sitting at the table, eating porridge out of a bowl.
"Why hello Rin." Said Kasumi. "Are you feeling better? Sota said you were sick."
"Yes," she stumbled as Mrs. Hirugashi took Yoh to a highchair. "Much better."
"That's good. Rin, Sota and I were wondering if you wanted to meet a friend of ours named Hikaru. His father is a psychologist." Smiled Kasumi.
"I...I would rather..."
"O that's wonderful! I invited him over; I hope you don't mind Mrs. Hirugashi." Asked Kasumi sweetly.
"Not a all."
"Uh Mom?" said Sota. "Have you heard from Kagome yet?"
"Yes, she came early this morning. There's a note sitting for you on the counter. Let me get it. Rin, can you help Yoh eat his oatmeal please?"
Rin took the toddler in her lap and watched as he fed himself. He was good at it and Mrs. Hirugashi called Sota in the other room so he could read the note in private. This left Rin and Kasumi alone and Kasumi dropped her genial demeanor and snarled at Rin:
"I don't know what you're doing, but Sota honey is mine. Not yours, mine. You stay away from him. You may be a friend of the family, but I was here first."
Rin gulped and looked down, remembering the feeling she had the night before. She had known this was going to cause problems. She watched Yoh out of the corner of her eye and saw him lift his spoon up, a yellow light surrounding his oatmeal. He held it straight up and down, his power keeping the oatmeal in the spoon. Rin tried to stop what happened next, but she just grabbed Yoh's hand as a big gob of oatmeal flew straight from the horizontal spoon right onto Kasumi.
She gasped in horror as the hot goo slipped down the front of her shirt and she glared at Rin.
"How dare you!"
"It...it was Yoh!" protested Rin.
"You lying little..." started Kasumi.
"Oh my, what happened?" asked Mrs. Hirugashi, coming back into the room. Kasumi plastered on her fake and cheerful smile.
"Oh nothing Mrs. Hirugashi. Yoh just got some oatmeal on my shirt. May I go clean up in the bathroom?"
"Of course." Said Mrs. Hirugashi.
"I'm just glad that Rin stopped him. He might have thrown the whole bowl at me. What a mess that would have been!" said Kasumi, walking out of the room. Rin saw her glare and then turned to Mrs. Hirugashi who was lifting Yoh out of the highchair. She could have sworn she heard Mrs. Hirugashi whispered "Good job" but thought better of it.
"Rin dear, you can go read the note now. It was meant for you as well." Said Mrs. Hirugashi.
Rin went into the other room and Sota thrust the note at her, not saying a word. He hadn't said anything to her all morning. Rin opened the piece of paper and read what Kagome had written.
'They haven't caught Keiichi yet.' She thought miserably. 'Lord Sesshomaru wrote?'
"Dearest Rin, we have been unable to locate the whereabouts of the bastards that caused you harm. Rest assured, I'll find them and kill them. Lord Shigure and Keiichi have not returned to their palace otherwise the soldiers that I lent to them would have captured them. It pains me for you to stay with Inuyasha's wench's family but for your own safety, please do not leave their site, especially the boy's. He can protect you. If he tries anything tell him I shall kill him if I smell him on you. Stay safe daughter,
Lord Sesshomaru"
Rin stopped reading the letter and asked Sota, "Did you read the note at the bottom?"
"No, it's to you. I wouldn't do that." Replied Sota.
"Oh." Said Rin. "Um, Sota?"
"Hn."
"Who is Hikaru?" asked Rin.
"Some pervert from school." Said Sota.
"Is that like a letch?"
"Exactly like a letch." Was Sota's cold reply. Rin felt disappointment and sorrow make her body ache.
"Oh." Was the only thing she said. "Thank you."
That being said, she returned to the kitchen to find Kasumi zooming past to latch onto Sota. Rin told Mrs. Hirugashi that she would be upstairs changing and ran up as fast as she could. Once alone in Kagome's room, she cried, trying to make as little sound as possible.
Rin had little experience putting on clothes from Kagome's era, so she had a bit of trouble. It took her twenty minutes but she dressed in what Kasumi and Sota had called "jeans," a loose top that when Rin looked down she saw an upside down little yellow duck. She tried to braid her hair but was unsuccessful.
'I wonder if Lady Hirugashi can do it for me?' she thought.
Rin went downstairs feeling sick to stomach and found Mrs. Hirugashi in the kitchen washing the dishes. She turned to look at the girl and asked pleasantly:
"Do you need something Rin?"
"Um...Lady? May you please braid my hair? I can't do it myself and Kekki..."
"Of course. Go sit in the chair and I'll be right with you." Said Mrs. Hirugashi, drying off her hands as Rin sat down. Mrs. Hirugashi touched Rin's hair and gasped. "Rin, how often do you wash?"
"I haven't for a while with everything..." started Rin.
"Kasumi!"
"What is it Mrs. Hirugashi?" asked Kasumi nice as can be as she poked her head in the room.
"Could you show Rin how to run our bath? She doesn't know how to use ours." Said Mrs. Hirugashi.
"Of COURSE Mrs. Hirugashi. C'mon Rin! Time to get squeaky clean!" said Kasumi, grabbing a surprised Rin's hand. Rin nearly snapped her hand away, not trusting the other girl but allowed herself to be dragged upstairs. She doubted that Kasumi would try anything. What harm was there in a bath?
Kasumi lead her into the bathroom and turned on the tap. She smiled as the hot water filled the tub and said to Rin as she left, "Hope you enjoy you're bath!" Then she left. Rin stripped down and sat in the tub. It was strange being unlike the one at her home. But never the less, Rin welcomed the warm water and washed all the dirt from her body and hair. She let her muscles relax but her mind drifted to the night before. She felt a small shoot of the tension she had felt go through her body, but it passed as she quickly changed her thoughts.

How's that my pretties? Another classic example why this fic is rated "R." Now let me say this, I've never done a lemon before and you can vote if you want it to be one. I'm not sure what FF.net does to lemons, but if anyone knows please tell. That way in the chance that this is voted to be a lemon, I can abide by the rules.
