I searched in hope of finding a familiar face, but instead I found myself sitting alone in the corner of a scummy bar ordering my 7th Tequila shot and drowning my sorrows away. The bar doors flung open, as I looked up I caught a glimpse of the most beautiful being alive. His hair was as white as a freshly bleached sea shells and his sea blue eyes sent a shiver down my spine, he wore a long black trench coat which covered all his body except his large black army styled boots which in my opinion gave him that sophisticated mysterious look. Who was this mysterious man in black? Where did he come from? I needed to know who he was and what someone like him was doing in a place like this. Without thinking I stumbled over to him and began to introduce myself, he took one look at me and then flicked me off as though I were nothing a piece of dirt that was in his way, I felt so little, but hid my embarrassment by just walking away and acting as though nothing had happened. Once again I wandered in search of a place to start a new life, a place where no one knew my name , a place to start over.
The night sky looked like a scene from a movie, so perfect not a star out of place, and I was the actress lost and looking for a place to stay but the best place I could find was a rusty bench centred in a empty park. As I lay down wondering what tomorrow would bring I began to sing aloud a song which my father used to sing to me when I was young. "Flowers for your hair, Rainbows for your eyes to see and . . ." "Nice song" a deep voice muttered, I quickly sat up right ready to attack. Then I saw who the voice came from, in a rude sarcastic voice I responded "What do you want?" "Simply to apologise" How could I hold a grudge against someone so beautiful, "the names Dante" He said in a strong firm voice, he spoke like an angel, I trembled as I spoke my name " Ezekiel Jayne " I said quickly. " This is no place for you Ms Jayne, its danger... before allowing him to finish his sentence I quickly butted in with the most intelligent thing I could think of at the time " How dare you! first you shrug me off and now you say I'm incapable of taking care of myself who are you to make such accusations?" (well it sounded smart in my head) I'd definitely put him in his place but he didn't seem to care he simply grinned a sarcastic smile. "have it your way then!" then he turned away and walked into the misty night and didn't look back at me once. I lowered my head in shame embarrassed by my defensive accusations and huddled up on the park bench watching the sky until my eyes could no longer stay open and I'd fallen asleep.
THE NEXT DAY.
I could feel the light beaming through the clouds, and the wind beginning to make its easterly coarse as morning was approached. I opened my eyes slowly in order to adjust to the light, I lay still for a few minutes wondering what today would bring, was today going to be different than the others? What am I doing? I sat up and began to stare into space. I guess I should find somewhere to stay for tonight. I stood up and began to follow a path of dirt. I had no clue what I was going to do, or where I would end up all I knew was something was out there waiting for me and I wasn't going to stop until I found it.
