Immunity

Somewhere along the way, Jiroh realized, Atobe could never be immune to anything Akutagawa Jiroh or simply Jiroh himself.

Atobe swore he could have thrown Jiroh out of the locker room at that very moment, but something in his core told him not to.

And maybe, Atobe thought, he still needed to practice how he could be immune to Jiroh's sweet acts and well, Jiroh.

"Atobe, onegai yo! Please please please let me play with you!"

"No. I am not, in any way, going to play doubles. And you can't make me."

Of course Atobe wouldn't play doubles. Oshitari stuck to that belief. He wasn't suited for it – He would never share the court with someone else – which was immensely true. The volley specialist couldn't possible make the Hyotei buchou play doubles. It was impossible.

But, the tensai thought, Jiroh had this certain something in him that made him hard to resist.

For countless times he found himself submitting into the Singles Two player's every command. Ohtori experienced the same. Hell, even Shishido and Gakuto fell into the sunset-haired lad's trap. And the bespectacled third year actually looked up to Atobe because of that.

But, he thought, with the look on the said buchou's face, he would soon join the club of those who found it hard to resist the sleepyhead's charms.

"O-ne-ga-i!"

He took a glance at Atobe and chuckled. It was funny to see the third year like that, troubled and all. He probably couldn't find a way out of the situation or find it in his heart to reject Jiroh's request.

And it remained to be true. There was no such thing as "immunity" when it came to Jiroh and the word "no" was not in his vocabulary.

"Please please please, Atobe! Do this for me!"

Atobe shook his head. No way. He was not going to fall for that trick. Atobe Keigo is immune to that look, that sweet smile, those charming crimson orbs…

He glanced at his Singles Two player and sighed.

If he could just erase the picture of Jiroh pleading from his mind, he could say no.

But he couldn't. He just couldn't. It just kept on playing in his head, like a trailer of some movie.

As far as everyone knew, Atobe Keigo was perfect. He was not to be affected by such things, those being pleading and saying such sweet words just to make him say yes.

And as far as his record was concerned, he had not, in any way, been affected by these things.

However, right now, his record was being ruined, courtesy of Akutagawa Jiroh, resident sleepyhead of Hyotei Gakuen.

Atobe sighed in defeat as he turned to the ruby eyed lad.

"Fine. Fine. Let's go before I change my mind."

Jiroh blinked once, twice, thrice before registering in his mind that he was to play with Atobe.

"Hontou? Whoe! Atobe, arigatou!"

"Come on. Let's play before I change my mind, Oshitari, Mukahi, on the court now." Atobe said firmly, brushing his hair as he walked to the courts. Everyone laughed.

Who would have known that Akutagawa Jiroh would be the person who would make Atobe Keigo follow?

No one. Absolutely no one.

"Atobe, daisuki!"

And who would have known that Akutagawa Jiroh would be the person who would make Atobe Kiego stop in his tracks, smile sweetly and blush, a tinge, but still visible?

Well, everyone.

Somewhere along the way, Atobe realized, he could never be immune to anything Akutagawa Jiroh of simply Jiroh himself.

And it felt nice.
