AN: I love Invader Zim. That pretty much sums it up.

Disclaimer: If I owned Zim, do you really think I would be writing fanfic? No. I'd be eating snacks in my life sized Irken warship.

Chapter One

Tak punched wildly at the controls of the escape pod, trying to wrestle them from the suddenly deranged SIR unit. It screeched wildly, then began to spin around, pushing the thruster button with his foot. The pod lurched backwards, then flipped upside-down as the robot kicked the controls. Tak hit the robot, sending it flying into a wall. It giggled maniacally, then fell silent, suddenly shutting down. Tak shook her head, clearing it of the ringing brought on by the shrieking.

She turned the ship towards the moon, punching the thruster, and shot towards it, the broken SIR unit's head clanking against the metal wall. The Irken felt her thoughts drifting towards her failure, and the defective; Zim. Yet again, she vowed to find him, and kill him, and this time she knew what to do. She would someday reach the honor that she was truly worthy of. She would be an invader. The filthy earthlings would all die. A warning flashed on the control panel, alerting her to the massive shape appearing outside. She guided her ship to the backside of the moon, pulling the collapsible air helmet out of her pod-pack. Pulling it over her head, she opened the hatch, hearing the hiss of air as it rushed out of the ship. She hopped down to the surface, her small Irken feel raising dust clouds when they hit. She reached up and hit a button on the control panel inside. A light on the monitor flashed, and she stepped back as the ship upended itself, spilling the robot out on onto the ground.

It's eyes blinked on, red, and it immediately jumped up and ran behind her, entirely subservient. She patted it on the head, more to reassure herself then anything else, and watched as dozens of tubes spilled out of the ship and buried themselves into the ground, digging deep into the lunar soil. She took another step back, watching silently as more of the metallic tendrils shot up into the air, quickly forming themselves into a large dome. The gaps between the tentacles suddenly filled in, a gray force field locking them together. A door popped out of the front, and was momentarily encased by a frame. Tak shook her head; the door wasn't supposed to be orange. She pulled the strangely colored door open and stepped inside, followed by the SIR unit, who immediately assumed the shape of Mimi. She patted him on the head, and he dashed into the shadowy depths of the dome, his red eyes casting ghostly shadows on the wall. Tak walked up to one of the newly spawned machines, and activated the security system. At once a dozen cameras popped out of the walls, followed by a ring of black obelisks in a ring surrounding the outside the dome. Tak smiled; soon her plan would be put into action.
