Deep Eyes of Violet by Kawaii Strawberry
AN: Hello, this is another one-shot… as you may have seen/realized/guessed I'm a very one-shot-y kind of person. I just love them cuz you don't have to think a lot, there's no commitment and it doesn't take much time! Just wonderful, but whatever floats your boat, right? I just love that saying, hehe. Yahiko's POV
People say that his eyes are deep, and have much held in them. They say that he's seen a lot in his life and that his eyes are much too old for someone of his age.
Then Kaoru informs them that he is 28, and they are shocked. I don't really know why… are they surprised to find eyes like that on someone his age…? Or does Kenshin just look young…?
I'm confused. But whatever, I can't just ask Kaoru or Kenshin what they mean.
I know that Kenshin was Hitokiri Battosai in former years… I guess what people mean is that he's seen a lot of killing… and people dying. I know I would probably have deep eyes if I went though something like that… I think.
What does it mean to have deep eyes? Are they dark and muddy? Or are they just deep… like how a lake is, how you can't see the bottom…?
To have deep eyes… you would probably need to go through something horrific and maybe even lose something or someone you really cared about…
Has Kenshin ever lost something or something he cared about? I don't really know much about his past… and I don't think it would be polite to ask him…
Speaking on someone that Kenshin cares about… I'm a very light-sleeper, I'll have you know, and in the night, in Kenshin's room, just across the hall from mine, sometimes I can hear him mumbling.
Did I mention that I have really good hearing as well? Well I do, and some nights I hear him calling out the name, Tomoe.
Who's Tomoe? His friend?
I have no idea and I'm not about to ask. That was about a week ago.
Nowadays, I wouldn't be able to say, but if someone who had eyes that were deep, and then their eyes got… shallow? Is that the opposite of deep? Maybe… lighter…
Yeah, lighter… If someone who had deep eyes, and if they just got lighter, I think that would be the eyes of Kenshin.
I don't think that made sense.
Whatever.
My point is that his eyes aren't so deep… maybe he's slowly forgiving himself, or if someone's been helping him heal his internal wounds…
I wouldn't know. But at night, after everyone's gone to bed in their own separate rooms, I wake up to the light murmuring of Kenshin.
And if anyone besides me noticed that instead of muttering Tomoe in his sleep, and now was softly saying Kaoru, no one said anything.
Well, how was that? Hehe, I had that concept in my head for a while now and I wanted to write it out. I hopefully did it well… right? Ehehe… well, if I've made some errors, imform me please!! And if you have any helpful tips or whatever, that would be welcome as well!!
