The Odd Pair
Author's Notes: Okay, I am really really sorry that I took that title because no other title suited it. Please visit their site, No Winter Lasts Forever. This poem is a little alternative, because I didn't really mean for it to be Sess and Rin.

Legend Says of a Demon Lord
Feared by all; The roamed and soared
With great Strength and Intellect
He was given a lot of respect.
The Lord despised the
humans, hated them to the core
They were weak and ugly
and a whole lot more
With ordinary hands,
legs, a body and face
They came in last in
the Creature's race.
Compared to them he was
handsome and refined
Blessed with features
like the gods divine
Creamy white skin and
fine chiseled jaws
Silver hair and mighty
claws.
He was cruel, cold and
could not love
None could match his
place above
Not until came a little
girl
Melted his heart and
captured his world.
Her name was Rin and
was very plain
But her inside was
beautiful, both in sun and rain
Her eyes were brown and
her hair was black
Her heart was of gold
though, no doubt about that.
They fell in love with
each other, the odd pair
He treated her with
tender loving care
She stood by his side
has the years went by
But like all humans,
she had to die.
Sadness and despair
filled him to the bone
In so much pain, he
turned into stone
And there he stood,
till modern day
His cold, hard body
beginning to decay.
A beggar girl, starving
and freezing
Was sick and dying,
occasionally wheezing
Her name was Rin, the
same brown eyes and black hair
She found him and they
were together forever, the odd pair...
