Disclaimer: I do not own Gilmore Girls.

A/N: I hate the way tonight's episode ended so I'm writing a different ending.

A/N #2: I love Dean and Rory together, but I'm also starting to want her to hook up with Logan.

A/N #3: We're doing An Appointment with Death for our school drama so I'm going to be making lot's of references to that.

Everyone followed Rory as she went outside to meet her boyfriend. Logan wished that this guy was a nerd that he could pluck her from. Maybe he was abusive and she didn't want to be with him. Maybe he could tell this guy off and Rory would fall into his arms and she would be his.

He'd read Agatha Christie's An Appointment With Death. Rory was certainly like Nadine Boynton. Maybe this guy was like Lennox Boynton and always neglected Rory. Maybe Logan could be like the Jefferson Cope figure and get Rory to leave her beau.

But, Logan's hopes dropped when he saw Dean. He was no Lennox Boynton. In fact, he was more like a Raymond Boynton and Rory looked like Sarah King walking over to him. This  was tall. He could probably beat me up, Logan thought. They actually looked perfect together.

But, Dean looked upset when he saw him and the guys standing behind her.

"What am I doing here?" Dean asked Rory.

"You're picking me up," Rory replied.

"But, I don't belong here anymore," Dean said. "Do I?"

At the angle Logan was standing, he could see Rory's expression change. He also saw how hurt Dean felt. He could see how painful it was for Dean to let go of her.

Dean got in his car and turned on the engine and slowly pulled out of the driveway. Logan could see Rory's shoulders rise and fall. He knew she was going to cry. He didn't want to see her cry. He wanted her to be happy. Without thinking, he ran after the car.

"HEY!" Logan yelled. "STOP! STOP THE CAR!"

Dean put the brakes on and Logan ran up to the window.

"Dean, right?" Logan asked.

"Yeah," Dean said, confused.

"Okay, Dean," Logan said. "You're just going to leave her like that?"

"Leave her like what?" Dean asked.

"Leave her standing there," Logan said. "She doesn't want you to go. I can tell."

Dean didn't say anything. He just stared at Logan.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Dean asked.

"I'm Logan," Logan introduced himself. "I'm Rory's friend. I haven't known her for that long, but I can tell you that if you drive out of here right now, you're making a huge mistake."

"I'm not good enough for her," Dean responded.

"Trust me, if she picked you then you are good enough for her," Logan said. "Look, I'd kill for a girl like Rory and I can tell she doesn't want you to leave.  If you drive out of here now, you'll be the dumbest guy ever to walk the planet."

Dean stared at Logan with a blank expression. Logan was afraid that Dean was going to punch him or run him over with that truck of his. But, instead of doing any of those things, he put the car in reverse and backed up. He got out of the truck and walked over to Rory who was standing there, dumbfounded.

"Do you still want to catch that movie?" he asked her.

Rory nodded and Dean got in the truck. Logan turned back towards his buddies when he felt someone tap him.

"Thank you," Rory said, hugging him.

"No problem," Logan responded.

She got in the car. Dean looked out the car window and nodded a thank you and drove off. Logan was feeling a little down about this, but he also felt kind of good. Rory seemed happy and he was glad that she was happy even if he didn't have her. When you love someone, it's their happiness that matters.

The End

A/N: Bad. I know. When Rory and Logan hook up, I'm going to write Rory/Logan fics because they look cute, but now I'm going to write some Aida fics.
