Doctor Rodney McKay sighed and poured his coffee away. Cold. He'd been lost in thought for half an hour, simply thinking about the events of the past week.

He felt very bad for the Athosians but especially for Teyla. She was his friend and he had searched her stuff - invaded her privacy.

He finally stood up, switched off his computer console and went off in search of the team's resident alien.

His search took him to his personal favourite place - the balcony outside of what had come to be known as the rec room. From there you could see the ocean. Very nice. The water was the colour of Sam's eyes...damn it. He was desperately trying to get over Colonel Dr Samantha Carter, but it was so freakin' hard!!

"Hey Teyla," He said, stepping forward. He rested his hands on the railings.

She looked over at him and smiled. "What is on your mind, Doctor McKay?"

"You, actually," he replied, quietly. "I'm sorry you had to go through all of that this week."

"I understand," The woman replied, flicking a few strands of stray hair over her shoulder. "I am attempting to put this behind me, as are my people. I cannot blame Doctor Weir for her decisions."

"Even so, I'm still sorry," Rodney sighed. "And I have to tell you something. The reason we found out about the locket is because that bloody good-for-nothing jump to conclusions Sergeant ordered me to search your belongings. And I apologise for doing so."

"You were following orders," Teyla told him. "I can forgive you for that."

"I'm not sure that I can," he sighed, running a hand through his short blonde-brown hair. "I am really, really sorry. Make the most of me apologising, because it doesn't happen often. But this time, I really do feel bad. You're a friend, and I didn't want to have to do that."

"I understand," Teyla smiled. "I am thirsty. Let us find Major Sheppard and Lieutenant Ford, and drink."

"Sounds good," Rodney agreed. "Thanks Teyla."

"Thank you," She said, bowing her head. "We are friends, yes?"

"Yes," He nodded, and began to walk back inside. She followed him, thinking.

"I am glad. You are a good man, Doctor. You have great potential to be a great man, and a great warrior," She said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Rodney stopped and turned to face her. "Thank you."

"You are welcome," Teyla said just as Major Sheppard appeared. "Let us go."
