AN: Heya! I felt a little somber and depressed when I wrote this, in case you couldn't tell. The first few sentences popped in my head randomly –during school, actually- and when I started writing, it manifested into Harm and Mac. ::shrug:: Here ya go.
----
Erratic lightning flashed and danced across a wind-torn and storm battered night, shearing the sky in two. Raindrops pelted sodden and muddied ground, grass haven given up against the torrential onslaught long ago. Under the meager shelter of a felled tree two gray shadows crouched in even blacker and darker ones, and muffled cries echoed through the branches only to be trampled into nothing by howling hard driven rain.
One creature held another, in a close and loving embrace; the latter lying still, the former refusing reality. Soon both were deep in sleep, naught to rise again, but a few words had lingered on the lips of pale, delicate features of the beautiful mourning woman. Brown hair turned black by moisture was plastered to her alabaster face and followed the curve of a high cheekbone. Droplets ran down a slim and pointed nose to fall off the tip and splash lightly on the face of a man who embodied the tall-dark-and handsome profile. His hair was colored similarly to the woman's and cropped close, glistening with beads of rain. Words lingered too, on his trembling ivory lips.
With one last effort the couple kissed, with hunger and long lived passion. The whispered were simple letters strung together, and at last their souls escaped. The two went willingly, having said what they needed to say, and each saw each other in heaven, happier now; forever. They hugged and the woman smiled, her skin returned to the normal silky olive tone and slightly tousled brown hair framing a beaming face with rosy lips, looking up with chocolate eyes at the man. Azure eyes winked back from a happy countenance of a playful face and a low voice rumbled from his chest through his mouth.
"I really do love you, Mac. Sarah." And a kiss was shared again.
"I'm glad you said I love you, Harm, because I love you, too." He picked her up in strong arms and soul mates twirled in an elated hug and kiss.
So Harmon Rabb, Jr. and Sarah Mackenzie went together into eternity, loving and being loved.
Peace, at last.
