Brother's Keeper
"Noooo!" he screamed as Yuna jumped out of the Celsius, into the arms of her long lost 'love'. Buddy tried in vain to restrain him as he ran for his Machina Blaster and jumped onto the lift. Once up on deck he watched them run onto Besaid beach.
The entire population of the tiny island had heard the strange whistle from the sea and gone to investigate. Of course, Lulu and Wakka knew what such a sound could mean and contacted the Celsius immediately from the Commsphere Shinra had left outside their house. But it was Yuna's intention to return home anyway.
"Noooo! Yuna! I love you! I always meant to tell you, but you would never listen!" Bitter tears escaped Brother's eyes, splashing onto the deck.
"If I can't have Yuna, then no-one can!!!!!" He readied the Machina Blaster and aimed for her Yuna's head.
"No Brother!" He whirled round and saw Shelinda, the priestess-of-Yevon-turned-journalist jumping out of the lift and running for him.
"If you kill Yuna, I can never love you again!" she sobbed into his shoulder.
"You... Love me?" he asked tentatively
"Of course I do. I have ever since I saw you in Luca, Just after Lady Yuna's concert, remember?" she explained, raising her tear-streaked face to look into his Al Bhed eyes.
"Yes, I do remember." He whispered.
"Didn't that mean anything to you?" she whimpered, beginning to cry again.
"Yes. I saw in your eyes your feelings for me. But Yuna—"
"What about me? Yuna will never love you now. But I do."
"Oh, Shelinda. I'm so confused. I love Yuna, but I can't deny my feelings for you either."
"Please, just forget Yuna now. She has moved on. Just like you have to"
"I love you Shelinda."
"I love you Brother. With all my heart!"
They shared a kiss then, but did not see a shadow in the lift.
"But Shelinda..." Buddy loaded his Machina Detonator and took aim...
