Love, Aphrodite

Chapter 1- Transferred

I never liked my school. It was always so boring. I did not have very many friends, so that probably explains it. My name is Aphrodite. I know you probably think it is

Corny, that I am named after a Greek goddess and all, but we do not get to choose out names, do we.

Last week, the weirdest thing happened. I was yelling at my brother, when all of the sudden, he kept getting smaller and smaller. The more I yelled, the smaller he got. Then, when he was about the size of a mouse, I couldn't stop laughing. The more I laughed, the bigger he got. Pretty soon, he was back to normal. Now, that must have meant something, because in the mail today, I got a letter addressed in green ink. It read;

Dear Aphrodite,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Wow! Me, a witch? I can't wait to go to school! Wait, that sounds weird, I know. I mean, who would want to go to school? Than again, who can say they are a witch? Well, whatever. Oh yeah! There is a second part to the letter!

Wow!! I didn't know you could fly on a broomstick! This whole thing is just blowing my mind! I can't wait to go!! This is going to be so cool. I wonder why I didn't even know about this before. It must be really hard for them to keep this wonderful thing such a secret. It would be so cool if some of my friends went there. I might even make some new friends. Hold on a second.... How am I going to get all of this stuff? Oh well, just wait until my brother finds out......

That's my story. It's my first real one, so PLEASE REVIEW!!!
