I still see her smile
Everywhere I look
The traces of her being
In every single book

Diaries are just empty pages
Scribbles of her smiles
Her love is like a roaring fire
That has already died down

I look at her, hidden behind a mask
Pretend that she's just another Sohma
Pretend that I don't care
But secretly watching from afar

She's happy, the happiness I could not give her
She's smiling, the way she never did when I was with her
She cared for me, loved me
But with this curse, we were never meant to be

I look at her now, so happy, so carefree
The way she used to be
When she first became my assistant
So beautiful, young... free

I still remember all her questions
Those that she once asked me
"Do you know what snow turns into when it melts?"
Spring... Kana was my spring... she set me free

I was a bird, kept in the cage of a curse
Flapping my wings helplessly against iron bars
Wanting to be set free
To look at the lands from the skies above

The scent of her perfume

The sound of her laughter
Her gentle fingers
