Chapter 1. Life in the big city

The day started like any other old day, traffic, talking and the birds singing their joyful songs right out Charlie's window and yet it didn't seem like a joyful day. As Charlie, a teenage irken wearing a blue and white sailor suit with a gray skirt and blue bows awoke to all these sounds she rushed to the window thinking it must be a nice day. When she got there she looked horrified, not much sunshine but lots of rain and very cloudy. She sighed and walked back to her bed to check the clock.

Her horrified face suddenly turned pale, it was 8.30 and she had to be at work in 5 minutes.

''Oh my god I'm late'' She said running around in a panic, where was her human outfit? Where was her flannel?

It didn't look good for her as her boss would fire her for sure, after all those times she had been late.

Still in a panic but almost ready she just packed her lunch, put her things in her bag and was off out that door eating a breakfast bar. Pushing and running in an attempted to get to work on time she did all she could, but it was hard since it was raining and most people had their umbrellas up.

''Could this day get any worse'' she mumbled to herself while being beating up by the other rushing people.

It really seemed everyone was in a rush to day not just her, but she kept on running and pushing herself.

Suddenly she bashed into something a tall, dark man in a brown leaver coat.

''Oh sorry sir I didn't....'' The man put a finger to her mouth.

''I know who you are Charlie and I'm going to stop your mission'' he said in an evil voice.

''Mission? What mission? The only mission I'm doing is tring to get to work but i can't since your in my way''

The man gave Charlie an evil look that mad her freeze. ''A mission you've been on for years now''

Charlie thinks back and remembers her childhood , she saw her mum holding her and a man. Charlie's mouth opened widely. ''Oh that mission well for your infomation pal i never want to see my parents again''

''Thats what you think'' he said as he ran up the street.

''Thats what i think?'' she said looking abit worried , ''Will i...No! thats inpossible i don't even know what they look like so i'll never find them'' now looking alot more cheerful.

She looked at her watch. Gasp! she was late that strange man had mad her late , but how was she going to explain that to him a tall , darm man stopped me and warned me of my future , he'll never buy it. But then she fought its worth a try and ran to work with it still raining heavy and her without her umbrella.

Who was that man? What did he mean by all that? Those thoughts just kept running thrpugh her head.
