Forgotten
When Raven was about to die, there was a massive amount of energy within her.
When Raven died, the energy within her would be released.
When Raven died, and the energy within her was released, it would wipe out all life as it
was known, were it to be just let out without control.
As Raven was about to die, she saw that this would happen.
As Raven was about to die and saw that this would happen, she was distressed.
So when Raven was about to die, she decided she would not allow this to happen.
So Raven took all the energy within her.
She gathered up all the energy within her.
She took all the energy within her and directed it back at herself.
She focused all the energy at her life.
She used her precious energy to erase all she had touched.
She erased herself from all worlds.
She erased the very memory of herself from everyone and everything.
Her mother would forget it all.
All of Azerath would forget it all.
Cyborg would forget her.
Robin would forget her.
Starfire would forget her.
Even as they all remembered and mourned Terra, they would forget her.
Beast Boy-
Beast Boy-
Beast Boy...
Beast Boy would forget her.
As Raven lay dying, she reviewed her entire life, and erased herself.
Even as she knew erasing herself completely would mean fading to Nothingness instead
of moving on, she erased herself.
Even as she knew this, she erased herself rather than let the End happen.
Even as she knew this, she let her energy drain away in this task.
She let the last of her energy leave, and waited to become Nothing.
Raven let the last of her energy leave and waited to go.
Imagine her surprise when she did not become Nothing.
When she did not cease to be something.
She did not cease to be, because though all her energy had drained, she had forgotten to
erase one thing.
She had forgotten to erase the one thing she did not know about.
She had failed to erase Beast Boy's love for her.
He would never forget her.
And he had saved her.
And she would be eternally grateful.
