Cho ran to her next Charms class, the heavy book bag cutting into her shoulder.
"Sorry," she panted.
"No worries," squeaked Professor Flitwick. "Just make extra care that you arrive on time. Now as I was saying, we'll be starting the Protean charm today, so take out your wands. N.E.W.T. testing is this year – it will of course, change your future, for better or for worse. Now wands out!"
There was a flurry of movement and the students practiced their spells.
"Why are you late to Charms? You're never late," hissed Marietta.
"Well ah...I was going to..." she stopped herself in mid-sentence. "Nevermind, it doesn't concern anybody anyway." Cho busied herself, making a show of opening the textbook and practicing the spell.
"What do you mean nevermind?"
"Nothing. It's really nothing." Cho looked down again, but she could feel Marietta's eyes burning into her sides. When the bell rang, Marietta wasted no time questioning her about it.
"I'm telling you, it's nothing!"
"Er...Cho! Hey Cho!"
Cho turned around; eager of the interruption, but her face fell when she saw the bespectacled boy with the green eyes.
"What do you want now?" she said.
"Look, I know about that dog that's been appearing in your dreams it's --"
"You don't know what's going inside my head! Stop coming to me and telling me that you do!" she stomped off.
"Look, Cho," Harry called. "You can't keep avoiding me forever. I know about those dreams you've been having. And you know I do."
Great, Cho thought to herself. It's he that made me tardy to class, and now he claims he knows what I dream about at night. Give me a break. What dog? I haven't dreamed of a dog since way back when. Since...yesterday night. Cho gasped and stopped in her tracks.
"So are you going to tell me now?" muttered an annoyed Marietta Edgecombe.
"No," said Cho. "I'll meet up with you later." There's someone I need to find."
"Wait Cho!" but she was already gone.
