Summary: drabble, 200-300 words. Kyo drowns in his memories tonight.
Warning: spoilers for episode 26.
AN: Very, very short, just some of Kyo's thoughts as Tohru battle with his True Form (TM). Probably the shortest thing I've ever written
Insomnium
Horrifying, they say. With his scary eyes and his nightmare-like body, he's a terrible, terrible thing. A murderer, they call me, with blood dripping from his teeth, his face wild as a storm.
But you're here, and so am I. Are you scared? This grotesque form of a monster that lives in your dreams, under your bed, in your closet, this demon with a black gaping hole of a heart. It is only my fate, after all, but it shouldn't be yours. Why don't you run, like Yuki tells you to?
I still have words for you, if would care to hear them. Don't you know that this night is my grave? A tomb full of ash, a body of dust and cinders, the Kyo-kun you know gone. There's nothing here for you anymore. A black sea of memories where I choke on myself and my reality, washing ashore the next morning a mouth full of salt and seaweed. The moon crucifies me, its eerie white light making you see every detail, every curve and shape of this nightmare.
Run, you can still make it to end of the woods. Don't stay here, don't worry about me, once my strength wears out I'll die here, peaceful as if sleeping, a boy with his pale body and scars on his face. The monster shouldn't be allowed to live. Run away with your prince, Tohru, like in a fairy tale.
You told me that I was kind once. Can you still say it after this?

Yeah, not much I know. Review!
