Bliss
"We almost have all the Jewel Shards! Just a few more to go!" A 16 year old Kagome exclaimed after Inuyasha having slain one of Naraku's goonies. "We will have to confront Naraku soon..." Miroku said while staring at his right hand. "Meh....He'll send demons until he has no more shards left" Inuyasha said confedently. "He isnt stupid Inuyasha.." Sango calmly stated. "And he isnt smart either, or he would have gotten rid of us a long time ago" Inuyasha said, arms crossed and chin in the air. Wow, Ive never noticed it before...but Inuyasha looks mistical in the moonlight.. Kagome thought to herself. "Wadda you staring at me like that for, wench?" Inuyasha pretty much yelled at Kagome. "I wasnt staring!" Kagome yelled back, a blush apparent on her face. Why is she blushinf like that? Was she really staring at me...? Inuyasha thought, confused.
"Kagome! Im HUNGRY!" Shippo exclaimed breaking into both Kagome's and Inuyasha's thoughts and Kagome's yellow backpack. "I'll go collect firewood" Sango stated happily. "and I'll follow!" Miroku stated cheerfully! "And I'll go to protect Sango" Shippo said joyfully. "Meh, Im goin to bed." He'll come down when he's hungry Kagome thought to herself.
Inuyasha was sitting in the tree, and thinking hard. Would he go to hell with Kikyou? Could he? He knew that he had told Kagome that he chose Kikyou, but was he ready to give up his life for Kikyou? Could he leave Kagome? One of the only people he had come to trust in his whole life, the only one who loved him for who he was? Just to be wth Kikyou?
"Inuyasha?" Kagome whispered. Inuyasha looked down, the sun had set long before and Sango, Shippo, Kirara and Miroku were all asleep. Kagome was standing at the base of the tree. " Do you want some Ramen?" "Meh" Inuyasha said while jumping down from the tree. Kagome smiled lightly. "Kagome?" Inuyasha asked while eating his ramen. "Yes Inuyasha?" Kagome replied. Inuyasha looked at Kagome she was watching him intently. "Kagome" Inuyasha whispered, now being at her side, holding her in a tight embrace, the ramen long forgotten. "Inuyasha?" Kagome asked confused, but leaned into his warmth anyway.
Inuyasha's POV
"Inuyasha" Kagome said while leaning into him. "Kagome" he said again. "I....I dont want to be dragged to hell with Kikyou, because I realized.....I....I want to be with you......" Kagome gasped, but remained in his arms. "Inuyasha...I...thank-you" Inuyasha could smell her tears, and feel her happiness.
Normal POV
Inuyasha held Kagome closer, not ever wanting to let go. Kagome's mind was spinning...was he really saying this? She only hoped this wasnt a dream. Yet she knew that if she really was awake, this was the closest she would ever get to Inuyasha confessing his love for her.
