Mime Note: Hey yea, sorry about deleting my last two stories, I promise I'll finish at least 35 chapters of this one though. They are similar and I will take direct quotes and ingrate it into this one. Heads up, this is kind of a Alice in Wonderland theme. My favorite!!!! And this is just a jump-off chapter, I will make another longer one by tonight.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of J.K.'s work. I'm not that cool. If I did though, I would be shopping.

I see her every day. Every single bloody day. It tortures me, it's eating me from the inside. She doesn't even smile at me. She doesn't give a passing glance. But, her voice is in my head. Like a virus it spreads through me. Shit.

MALFOY YOU LITTLE FERRET DON'T SWEAR

See, I told you. I know everything about her. Every litt- NO I DON'T. I hate everything about her. Every little detail. From the way she corrects everybody, even teachers. The way she's best friends with THE GOLDEN BOY and WEASEL. The way she bites her nails when she's nervous. The way she saunters down the hallway. The way her shirt always molds wit-Oh shit.

I hate her.

No you don't but if you continue thinking about her like that Malfoy, I will kill you. What would your father say about your liking of Hermione?

I don't have a father, that man is the devil. My name is Draco, and I'm not a fucking Malfoy. I refuse to be called by that name.

And I don't like her

Whatever. Then why do you constantly think about her? If you thought about Potter that much I would think you had desires for him too.

I'm not talking to you anymore.

You're not talking to me dumbass, you're thinking to me.

I sighed out loud.

"This is going to be one rough year..."

Hermione smiled at the thought.

The first smile she made in exactly 21 days, 8 hours, and 43 seconds. She had counted.

She smiled last at the joke Ron had made about Percy in his letter. About him being more annoying than a flobberworm. Which was true.

But, Hermione had been slipping away from her friends. She didn't know why, and it hurt to think about all the good times they had all had together. I mean, it wasn't them that had been doing the ignoring. It had been her, it ad been her all along.

She had found herself in a hole, and what she had to do now is stop digging.
