Lost! (spins around in little circle) The show begins.
After Kate learns about Sawyer's past she can't stop thinking about it. Once, while she was thinking about this, she thought about how he had attacked Sayid in the forest. Somehow this didn't sit well with her, so off into the jungle she goes to find proof of this. She wasn't thinking straight.
Kate gets to the scene of the crime and looks for clues. Nothing seemed out of place, but it had also been a couple of days since it had happened. She looked around on her hands and knees, hoping to find somewhat of a clue. She moved her hand along the ground and it scraped something hard.
"Ouch!" she cried. She looked where her hand had been and saw a necklace made of pig teeth. She knew this because she saw two tusks that the boars on this island normally had.
Kate was examining this clue so intensely, she didn't notice the almost silent footsteps behind her. Suddenly there was a large shadow above her, and as she looked up she had no time to scream before WHACK! She was knocked out.
Back at the caves...
Jack just finished cleaning a scrape on the kid. He sighed wearily. I really got to get some rest... But first, he wanted to talked to Kate. He hadn't seen her for a while, and she seemed kind of depressed after Sayid left. He went down to the beach, hoping to find her, but the only person was the old man who had stolen Charlie's drugs. He was staring out to the ocean, lost in thought. Jack walked past him quietly, trying not to disturb him.
"You looking for the girl?" came the man's voice, loudly breaking the silence. Jack walked back to him.
"Do you know where she went?"
"Hmm, I believe she went into the jungle."
Jack stared at him, incredulous. "What? No, she wouldn't so that without anyone else, she's not dumb."
"That's what I saw." The man finally turned to Jack. "Better go after her soon, before it gets dark."
"Better go get who soon?" came a voice from behind Jack. The last one he wanted to hear right now. Sawyer.
"Kate." Jack said tersely. Sawyer just stared at him calmly.
"When are we leaving for the rescue?"
