The fire alarms blared and the sprinklers watered the entire building as Hellboy ran down the corridor towards Elizabeth's room. He knocked several people out of his way who were fleeing in the opposite direction. Even at the end of the hall he could feel the heat rolling off her door. He opened the door quickly and slid in, closing it behind him.

"Liz?" he called through the flames.

"Red?" a small voice came from the bathroom.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Upon entering the bathroom, he felt her grab his leg and hug it. He sat down next to her, and pulled her close to him.

"Is everyone getting out?"

"Everyone's outside already."

"Even Abe?"

"Especially Abe. The fire department is on the way, so we need to get out of here..."

"No. We need to talk."

"We can talk elsewhere... can't we?"

"I tried to come see you, I wanted to do this with you... but I panicked. When I saw the test, I lost it."

"What test?"

"I haven't been feeling well lately, and all I can think about is our honeymoon..."

He smiled involuntarily at the thought. "Do you think you caught something on the island?"

"Red, you know... I never really knew my parents. But I know that all this stuff that's happened between us lately, I know you would've liked your father to be here... and maybe if I'd gave in sooner things would be different..."

"Lizzy, it's not your fault..."

"Half of it's mine; but you know what, half of this is your fault too!" She said jamming her finger into his chest, but looking down purposefully.

"Aw crap... you're pregnant!?"

"Yeah, Red. I knew you'd be pissed..." She buried her face into his chest as the dying flames lit anew.

"No! I'm not angry at all! It's just..."

"Just what?"

"A shock."

"Well it's a shock to me too! I'm so scared... I might be boiling our baby alive, or what's worse the poor thing is fine... 'cause it's just like us...like me."

"We'd only be so lucky. Liz, I love everything about you! But most of all, I love YOU."

"I love you, too."
