"Oh crap, he's dead!"

"What do you mean, 'he's dead'? How can he be dead?"

"I might have accidentally shot him. I didn't mean to do it."

"You do know that you're not supposed to kill people on your side, right?" John looked at him with furious disbelief. "How could you do that? We just lost one of our best men because of your stupidity!"

Sheppard and McKay looked down at Fords lifeless body, the red on his back a tell-tale sign of what had happened.

"DUCK!" McKay yelled, as the firefight started up again, and their position started being attacked, delaying their argument for the moment.

He hadn't meant to kill Ford, honest. It was a mistake. A very very bad, mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. And now, their position had been made.

"Fall back! Fall back!" John shouted above the sound of his gun firing. With only the two of them left, and many more of their enemy, they'd have to be creative if they were going to survive.

"Major," John looked back at McKay just in time to see the doctor fall, clutching his hit stomach, soon to fall with him as he felt the blow from behind.

Out of the bushes stepped Teyla, a proud expression on her face as she surveyed their still forms.

She blew on the end of her gun, as the old west cowboys she'd been told about.

"Ready to go again?" She asked, clicking on the safety on her paintball gun, and stepping over McKays body to help Major Sheppard up.

"Yeah." John accepted her hand and pulled himself up off the ground. Trying to twist around his shirt to see the paint on his back, he spoke. "How did you do that? I didn't see anyone coming aroud us."

"I have my ways," she told him cheekily.

"Yeah, yeah." John looked past her toward the scientist still on the ground. "McKay? You coming?"

"You do realize, Major, that this is the first time I've been able to rest all day, right? I'm not a soldier, I'm a scientist."

"You'll be a dead scientist if you don't know how to fight," John reminded him.

"I don't know whose dumb idea it was to bring paintball guns for training. I'm sick and tired of needlessly running everywhere, playing cloak and dagger."

Aiden Ford had heard the proclamations that the training mission was over, and had stood up, no longer needing to play dead.

"McKay!"

"Then again, a little running never hurt anyone did it?" Came Rodney's voice as he scampered through the bushes, leaving a laughing Major and Athosian behind him.
