This is my first Danny/Sam fic that's not a one-shot! So yeah. Read it.

I don't own Danny Phantom. And the title belongs to Jazzeh.

Fogged Memories

"I'm your girlfriend."

I looked at the girl in front of me. She couldn't seem to look straight at me, but instead averted her violet eyes, and let her midnight black hair fall into her face. I didn't know if she was really my girlfriend or not, but she was pretty.

I didn't know if she was my girlfriend because I couldn't remember anything except for the past five minutes. This girl had told me that I had been fighting a ghost, and gotten amnesia, but I wasn't sure I believed her. Ghosts don't exist.

But if even if she was lying about being my girlfriend, I felt as if I should trust her anyways. She didn't seem to be the type of girl to lie. Even if she did make up a story about ghosts. But who am I to say she made that up? I couldn't remember anything.

"Danny!" "Who's Danny?"

The ghost Danny had been fighting disappeared suddenly. I was worried about my friend, I thought he could be really hurt-then I realized what he had said. "What do you mean, 'Who's Danny'? You're Danny!" "I am?"

I sighed. "That ghost must've given you amnesia...." "Ghost? Ghosts don't exist..." "Yep. You've got amnesia." "Huh?"

"Look. Danny. You were fighting a ghost, and probably got hurt, and now you can't remember anything." "So...I'm Danny? And I was fighting...a ghost?" I nodded. Then he asked, "Who are you?"

"I'm Sam." "Isn't that a guy's name?" I frowned, somewhat annoyed. "It's short for Samantha!" I practically yelled. "O-okay." I felt bad. Of course he wouldn't know that, he didn't really know anything. "So, you're Sam," he repeated. I nodded, and then without thinking, said, "I'm your girlfriend."

After saying that, I immediately looked away from him, cursing myself for what I had said. I don't know why that slipped out of my mouth, and though I felt like I was taking advantage of Danny's amnesia, I decided to continue to play along with what I had said. Besides, I thought I might never have a chance to be his girlfriend if he had his memory.

She looked sad. After she told me she was my girlfriend, she had stared off into space, and was quiet. She seemed to be upset about something.

I wanted to comfort her. If she really was my girlfriend, then wasn't I supposed to make her feel better?

Feeling a bit awkward, I lifted my hand and gently set it on her shoulder. "Are you okay?" I asked her. She looked directly into my eyes. At first she seemed a bit surprised, but then she smiled and said, "Never better."

I must've been lost in thought for a while, because Danny suddenly set his hand on my shoulder and asked, "Are you okay?"

I had a brief moment of pure happiness, just because he was touching me. God, am I really that obsessed with him? But then I remembered that he thought he was my boyfriend. So if he was fine with just touching my shoulder, then maybe he....I...

I looked straight in his eyes, and replied to his question, "Never better." This was going to be fun.
