15-year-old T.K. Takashi was sitting on the couch in the living room of his family's apartment. He sighed. There she was, the most beautiful person he knew. And he wanted to tell her something again that he had only told her once before, when he was eight. He wanted to tell her just how much he loved her.

When he was eight, sitting on a park bench next to her, he had kissed her softly for the first time and told her how he felt about her. Now he couldn't stop thinking about her. Everything she did, he worshiped. He wanted just to hug her and hold her and kiss her again like on the warm, spring night long ago. But he didn't have the nerve to tell her how he felt.

He sighed again. Damn you, Davis! He thought. If it wasn't for you, I'd have already told her... He wasn't even paying attention to the movie on TV that he had invited Kari over to watch. All he could think about was her...

Suddenly, a really mushy love scene popped up on the screen. T.K. suddenly straightened in his seat, staring solidly at Kari. It was now, he told himself. If he didn't do it now he never would. And he'd lose his true love.

turned around as T.K. knelt down beside her on the floor. His eyes
were wide open and he seemed nervous about something.
"What's
wrong, T.K.?" she asked him.
"Kari,
I need to tell you something." He said. "Years ago I did
something and told you something that I meant with all my heart. Now
it's almost like I never said it. We're really good friends...but
I just want so much more..."
Kari
stared at him, wondering what he meant. Then, suddenly, the memory
came back...'she had gotten hurt by a bully that was tormenting
T.K. T.K. showed great strength and courage to wait for her for over
an hour, while at the same time he was bleeding, to see if she was
okay. Later that day, she and T.K. sat on a park bench. Suddenly,
T.K. leaned over and kissed her and told her that he loved her...'
Kari
blinked and stared straight at T.K. She smiled and wrapped her arms
around his neck. T.K. looked so startled he was slow in doing the
same around her waist. Then T.K. summoned all his courage, looked
Kari straight in the eyes and said;
"Kari,
I truly love you and I want to be with you forever."
Then he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. And Kari, eyes watering with pure happiness, happily returned the kiss.
