Locked Inside
So much sadness in his life
A childhood filled with so much strife
He opened his heart to let her in
A pretty maid, so fair and thin
Tyrants ruled the northern coast
Martin would not let Badrang boast
His father's sword, he took it back
Killing him with sould so black
But in the battle, midst the fray
The mousemaid was lost that day
He could not forgive letting her fight
When he learned in the sun so bright
She earned a place inside his heart
Rose of Noonvale would never part
From Martin, the mouse she held so dear
For even in death, she is always near.
Locked inside, she will stay close
With the warrior mouse she chose
To die for, despite a gentle warning
As the sun rose in the morning
