Harry was in the Weasly's car on the way to Kings Cross Station for the beginning of their sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He had gotten into a huge fight with his aunt and uncle and he ran away to the burrow. He and Ron had a blast the first two weeks he was there, but then Ron had caught Harry reading his "Journal" saying how much he liked Hermione and how jelous he was of Harry. Harry had made fun of him for a while after that. They weren't talking to each other.
Hermione had joined them the last two weeks of summer and Harry had told her all about the "'Journal' Incident" as everyone in the Weasly household had called it. They had already guessed that Ron had liked Hermione, but it hadn't been out in the open. Things were a little awkward for Ron and Hermione now and they avoided each other.
