A/N: Ok, I'm not a poem person who sits and writes poems. But I had to write one for my class. Thought...well...maybe it's ok to post. But I want to know what you all think. Thanks! D
Two Towers
Boromir dies
And Aragorn cries,
Mourning the loss of his kind.
Yet Frodo must go
With a heart full of woe
And Sam, his friend, will follow behind.
Orcs' corpse
And bodies torched,
Amid this a hobbit brooch is on the ground.
Legolas sees twelve leagues clear
That the Orcs are very near,
But Merry and Pippin are not to be found.
Meanwhile two hobbits
Are with anybody but Muppets,
And soon flee away in escape.
In a forest they go
And Treebeard they will soon know
As someone who hides them under his 'cape.'
Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas are still on the trail,
Stopping only when they see an old man bent and frail,
Taking him as the evil Saruman.
He throws off his gray clothes,
Revealing white clothes;
It is Gandalf the white reborn.
They visit King Théoden,
Who has a niece, Eowyn,
But unfortunately he is corrupted.
With his staff,
Gandalf casts,
The curse that Wormtongue erupted.
The battle at Helm's Deep
Had everything looking bleak,
Until King Theoden arrives.
Victory is sweet
But they gather up a fleet
To continue so they can save more lives.
Out of the blue
Gimli spots a smoke hue
And Merry and Pippin are found smoking a pipe.
A palantir is thrown
Anger by Wormtongue is shown,
And Pippin looks at it such is his type.
Back to Frodo and Sam,
Wishing they could eat some ham
Instead of boring lembas cake.
Suddenly grasped around Sam's neck,
In a dreadful attack,
The creature hisses and screams like a snake.
Frodo stops him with Sting,
He knows Gollum must be after the Ring,
And he takes the creature as his guide.
Through the marshes they go,
Bodies are found in the water to and fro;
Later Frodo hears Gollum talking to himself thinking he could hide.
They are led to the Black Gate
Where they come just a little too late,
But Gollum knows another way.
He is found in the forbidden pool,
And Faramir tells his men to shoot as a rule,
But Frodo stops him to allow Gollum to see another day.
Sam became quite suspicious,
Gollum grinned knowing she would find them delicious,
As he led them up the stairs of Cirith Ungol.
His scheme brought a giant spider,
Where he left them to get eaten by her,
As if they were lost in the pits of a jungle.
Sam made it through alive,
Wanting to bust Gollum's insides
When he saw that his master was dead.
He did what he must,
It was take the Ring to Mount Doom or bust,
And he hid when he heard Orcs ahead.
The Orcs searched Frodo's body
And up and away they did carry,
Pronouncing the fellow not dead.
Sam was amazed
And at his master he gazed,
And he wanted to kick himself in the head.
This is a tale to be told,
Many copies have been sold
Of this trilogy called Lord of the Rings.
In the Two Towers to date,
We see that Sam and Frodo seem too late,
But let's find out in Return of the King.
