Disclaimer: I don't own Farscape. There, I said it, now I can move on.

Okay, I am a big fat sap. This story is no exception to that. It's so sappy, its like a maple tree in March (If you're Canadian you might get that). But I am also a big fat sleepy sap. Ergo, this story. Please enjoy!

"Hush little baby don't say a word, Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird"

"What are you doing?"

John turned around and smiled at the sight of Aeryn leaning against the doorframe, her body slack from exhaustion and a similar smile playing around the corners of her lips.

"Singing. He's almost asleep"

The baby in his arms moved one of his tiny hands and fluttered his eyelids up at his father.

"C'mon little guy, don't fight it."

"Hmm." Aeryn moved closer and looked down over his shoulder at their son. "If your singing helps him to fall asleep, I'll proclaim it a miracle."

She stood on tiptoe to brush her lips against John's cheek and then sighed and leaned her head against him. "I'm so tired, I think I'm about to pass out on my feet."

John chuckled soft and low. "Maybe he's not the only one who needs a lullaby."

"Lull-lull-by?"

"Doesn't translate?"

She shook her head.

"It's just a song, a quiet one, used to make kids fall asleep. To lull them I guess."

Aeryn lifted her head and looked back up at him. "Does it work?"

"Yeah, sometimes."

With his head he indicated the sleeping D'Argo. Very carefully, he placed the infant in his crib while Aeryn moved around him to adjust the baby's blanket. Her fingers traveled gently down the little body.

She stepped back and John snaked an arm around her waist, pulling her close so she could lean against his solid form.

"We better get to bed. This one's gonna be up in three arns like clockwork wanting something I'm not prepared to give him." He smirked and let his eyes wander down her front.

"Hmm, yes." She smiled dryly, "I'm starting to think that Rygel had a greater effect on him than I'm willing to admit."

The new parents let themselves one last lingering look at their slumbering son before turning to walk slowly to their very inviting bed.

Aeryn yawned widely. "So these lullabies. Are they only for children?"

John shrugged, "Maybe, depends how nicely you ask. I gotta whole store of them."

"Well." Her body dropped heavily on the mattress.

"I guess I'll just have wait and see."

END.
