Chapter 1
The Alley Way Secret
Lily Evans awoke upon an early August morning. She got out of bed and stretched. She ran a hand through her tangled red hair. She walked briskly to her vanity and ran her ivory bone brush through her silky hair. Once brushed she ran downstairs.
Lily ran into the kitchen, through on her jacket and kissed her father and mother on the cheek.
"Morning Mum, Morning Pop." She smiled as she took a piece of toast off the mountain of breakfast on the table. She grabbed a handful of Floo from over the kitchen fireplace and yelled to her mom.
"I'm going to Diagon for the day, see you at dinner!" She tossed the handful into the flames and declared,
"Diagon Alley!" In a whur of flames she was gone. She arrived in Diagon Alley's, Flourish and Blotts. She walked out into the street and breathed in the fresh smell of the wizarding world. She hustled into the ice cream, where she would meet her friend, Makenzi. She smiled as she saw her patiently tapping her foot to the music playing.
"Hey Zi!" said Lily as she walked hurriedly to meet her friend, whom she had not seen all summer. Makenzi jumped up and hugged her best friend.
"Hey! Ooh! You look good! Did you go to the shores for the summer?"
"Nah but thanks for noticing. I'll have Sirius eating out of my hand."
"Yeah, about that...."
"Hey! I know! Lets go down the road to... hmmm. That one animal place.... hmm." She said pondering the name.
They left the shop and walked down the road to the "animal place". Lily laughed at the entrance. She looked in the window and turned to Zi.
"What do you know?" Zi looked in and saw Sirius Black petting a tiny black kitten. Lily walked in and Sirius came up to them.
"Hey babe."
"Hey." she said as sexily as she could but was cut off by something odd.
Sirius put an arm around Zi and kissed her. Lily sat dumbfounded for a moment when they stopped. Zi's lip gloss was slightly smudged and she fixed it hurriedly without looking at anyone. Lily's face went as red as her hair. She blinked to let tears go then turned to Sirius and Zi.
"What is babe supposed to mean?"
