Night was settling over Lon Lon Ranch, Link and malon had finally gotten their little baby to sleep, and were heading off to bed themselves when there was a dull thud on the roof. "Link did you... " malon was cut off by an arrow flying through the window heading straight for link, who had just walked into the room and was oblivious to the arrow. before either of them could say anything malon rushed forward and shoved link out of the way the arrow but without getting shot herself. "malon, What the hell did you shove me for, if you wanted to wrestle you should have told me," The first words out of her mouth surprised him, "are you okay?" "of course, Mal Why wouldn't I be," then he noticed it, first he saw her blood seeping through the carpet and then the sight he never wanted to see an arrow straigth through malons back. He got out from under her and pulled out the arrow. turning her on her back, he ripped some of the fabric of his tunic and dressed her wounds. "link" she was finding it hard to breathe, "Link,...i...don't...think..." "shh, Malon don't talk, save you're strength" 'Please don't die on me malon' "link...i'm...not...going... to make it... promise me...promise me... you'll... watch... after ...Mickieala...please." Link gazed down a his wife tears in his eyes "malon you are not going to die we are going to get you some help right now," "link...please... promise... me." "okay Malon i promise, I'll watch after her til the day I die." "Thank... you...link." there was a moment of silence between the two then link realized that she had gone limp in his arms. Tears blurring his vision he gently lay malon lifeless form on the couch and walked otu side to the coral. there he fell to his knees and lifted he face towards tho godesses, and from the kokiri forest to hyrule castle there could be heard a resounding "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"par (AN: sorry couldn't help myself i just love a good dramatic NO.)

I guess i'll always have a part of you with me. thank you Malon for that beautiful angel. since i can't bring myself to say goodbye i will only say 'till we meet again my love." with those final words the hero of time headed back to Lon Lon ranch with his daughter in his arms. he didn't see the ghostly redheaded figure standing behind them wathching them walk away "till we meet again link, and hopefullythat won't be for a very long time."
