Author's note: First NejiHina, so be nice. Written for insanely normal. BTW, if you would care to check out this picture that my friend Blu drew for me after reading this story, go to myotakuDOTcom, look up Luna Blu, and click on the picture of hers called FireFlies.

-Firefly-

Hinata likes fireflies.

Their lights wink on and off in a cheery display. They frolic all around the courtyard in the Main House, and for a moment, she forgets where she is.

All she can see are their twinkling lights, dancing like his smile in front of her. She is mesmorized by their agility and the way they can switch the lights off in an instant.

Laughing quietly, she dances around the yard, arms akimbo. She spins in a slow circle, laughing louder as a firefly tickles her nose.

She is forced to stop dancing when a familiar figure approaches her. She bows low, her awkward mannerisms returning in a rush. "N-neji-nii-san..."

He inclined his head in reply, his face a wall of nothing-ness. "Your father wishes to speak with you, Hinata-sama."

Hinata smiles nervously and bows again. "Th-thank you...um...Neji-nii-san..." She hurries off towards her father's room, throwing one last, longing glance back at the waltzing fireflies.

It's a pity she can't catch one.

As Neji left the Main House, he thought on what he had seen.

When Hinata had been dancing with those insects, she had looked so peaceful, completely opposite the way she had looked when he approached her.

She had looked beautiful, laughing and enjoying herself so thorougly.

He reached the door to his own home but paused before opening it. Tomorrow, he decided, he would catch her the biggest, brightest firefly in all of Konoha.
