This is a little 'Twas the Night parody I had to do for school 2 years ago. I just found it and decided to put it up..
Disclaimer: Do I even need this? Don't you guys get tired of reading these over and over and over again? Can't we just put the word 'Disclaimer' up?? sigh oh well...
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the school,
the Marauders were running, trying to break every rule,
their stockings WERE hung by the chimney with care,
but there was doubt St. Nicolas would come visit there.
Mister James, the bravest, was first in line,
with Sirius, the prankster, close behind,
Peter, the wimp, followed Sirius near,
and Remus, the smart one, brought up the rear.
They crept toward the kitchen, looking for some food,
to help brighten up the holiday mood,
creeping past teacher and prefects galore,
they laughed when they wished they had to do more.
Upon reaching the kitchen they had such a fright,
Dumbledore had gotten up for a snack in the night,
caught! They thought, as they headed to bed,
Dumbledore in toe, without being fed.
"You four," he explained as they reached the common room,
"need to learn well, and need to learn soon,
that being out in the halls after school hours,
will make some teachers cross, and others turn sour."
With a twinkle in his eye and a skip in his walk,
he finished the end of his fast thought up talk,
and went down the hall they had just come,
as the boys sat down with a very loud 'thump'.
Remus looked at the clock, then at his fellow mates,
"Even for us, this has run late."
they each nodded, as they stifled a yawn,
and went up to bed, sleeping 'til dawn.
They woke up next day to find a surprise,
they weren't at all totally despised,
presents from parents had arrived late last night,
as others were exchanged with the owl's first flight.
They looked around, very happy for all,
for many had presents, many short, many tall,
then the shouted together with such holiday cheer,
"Happy Christmas to all and to all a good year."
