- a SCREW loose in the HEAD -

A/N: Majorly based off The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, as I read The Hitchhiker's Guide last year and don't remember details from it. This is a drabble . . . so it's meant to be quite short. Constructive criticism is greatly welcomed.

"Marvin," they would always say, "have you ever considered seeing a shrink?"

"Of course I have," I would always reply dolefully, "only he wouldn't understand my woes and beguilement." After a brief sigh, I would always add: "No one does." Then, I would usually promptly clank off to a dark and dismal corner to moan and act generally depressed, as was coded into my gears. Sometimes I would wiggle my mechanical toes and ponder how infinitely large the universe was, and how small and insignificant I was, and how absolutely nothing would be changed if I merely snuffed out with a single, lone "good-bye."

And other times I would sit in that dark and dismal corner and tighten that screw loose in my head.

They say I should do something about that darned screw.

I disagree.
