Chapter Four
A plan in motion

AUTHOR NOTE - Here's chapter four and the plots changing before my eyes and there's nothing I can do about it, I guess I'll have to rewrite the summary at this rate. Anyway enjoy people.

Mrs Sniffy – Poor Lily? Why is poor Lily, she's showing a Marauder side to her personality! Bad girl she is, Remus thoughts wil be coming and if my plan is correct then poor Remus's thoughts will be quite amusing. Anyhow enjoy the chapter ok!
Evelyn Brand – That's the impression that's given out for both James and Harry, like they've stuck their hand into a live socket and the ending result is their hair. Anyhow, Lily meddling will most definitely be on the cards, hope you enjoy this chapter!
LilaStar – Yep an Irish Remus and I stand by that decision even though he's most probably from England, it makes sense to my mind and if it makes sense to me then that's good enough. Glad you're liking the story though!
Gold Silk – You'll have to see what Lily's master plan is and for making Sirius jealous? I think its safe to assume that she's managed that all right! Glad you like it, Read on and see what happens
Ash – I was meant to have a group but then something went wrong and now I no longer have my group worse luck, anyway glad you're enjoying the story so much!
Emma Lupin – Yep Sirius does have a screwing session about it all as you'll soon see and the Lily Meddling? There are high plans for that, trust me!
"Bloody hell Siri will you slow down, I'm not going to run after you, you know" James called out as he walked after the figure of his best friend. Sirius had the advantage since he had already left before James had gone after him, that and Sirius had the height advantage of 2 inches giving him slightly longer legs. "Sirius Morgan Black fucking stop this bloody second" Sirius came to an abrupt halt, they had reached the Qudditch pitch by this time and it was well know by the other Marauders that this was the place where both Sirius and James came to let off steam. He finally caught up and looked properly at the face of his friend before wincing.
Sirius looked livid, his face was completely white except for his cheeks, which were scarlet, and his navy blue eyes had darkened to black, while a vein throbbed in his forehead. James had only seen him this pissed off once when his younger brother Regulus had slapped a Hufflepuff girl by the name of Suzanne Martin when she accidentally knocked into him. Sirius had dragged his brother away that day and beaten him to a pulp. When he had returned to the others Marauders his face was bloody, his fists were swollen to twice their normal size but it had been the barely controlled anger that had disturbed the three of them and it had taken Remus 30 minutes to finally erase it, unfortunately Remus wasn't here this time and James was. It was his responsibility to calm his friend down and he wasn't looking forward to it
"Never call me Morgan you Prat" he said turning to James a very slight amused expression in his eyes "You know I can't stand it, it's a bloody girl's name" James grinned
"My middle names William" he said with a grin, Sirius shook his head
"Don't rub it in mate" he remarked coolly before plonking himself onto the ground, automatically his hands delved into the green grass and he began savagely ripping the blades out of the ground and throwing them into the wind. James watched him for a second before he sat down on the grass himself, crossing his legs as he did and leaning on them.
"Want to tell me what's up?" he asked, "Or am I going to have to beat it out of you?" Sirius smiled faintly before his face became a picture of anger again
"I saw Remus" he commented sourly, James looked surprised
"We often see Remus," he said keeping his voice light "The boy is our best friend after all" Sirius nodded
"I saw Remus with Lily," he said looking pointedly at James, for a second James frowned before he caught the meaning and his own hazel eyes began glittering angrily
"What?" he said, his voice coming out cold and quiet, Sirius looked away glancing up at the blue sky above them, a few clouds littered the blue and a soft wind blew around them causing the blades and flowers to move gently. The scene should have been very peaceful but all he could feel was anger and betrayal. How could Remus do this?
"I said I saw Remus and Lily James" James ran a hand through his black hair
"Well they were studying weren't they?" he demanded. Sirius nodded
"There were books in front of them but I don't think Moony and Lily were paying much attention to them,"
"What were they doing then?" he asked, Sirius shrugged
"When I went up they were talking but when Lily saw me, after I told him to come out here with us, she went and placed her hand over his and gave it a squeeze, she looked extremely friendly with Remus" he remarked bitterly "I warned you didn't I" he hissed "I knew this would happen and it has Remus belongs to Lily now doesn't he?" Sirius voice grew in volume "When the stupid Prat should belong to me instead, I'm the one who will always be there she won't be, I'm the one who knows everything about him while she knows barely anything about him. I'm the one who fucking well loves him and yet he's allowing her to hold on to his hand" James was snapped out of his anger at Sirius's words and he turned and stared at his friend in shock as if he was seeing him for the first time
"Paddy" he remarked softly "You're in love with Remus?" Sirius looked shocked himself and nodded
"I think I am" he replied, James smiled ever so slightly
"It would explain a lot, the way you've been acting recently. Lets think logically," he said changing the subject to save Sirius from any embarrassment he may have felt. "Lily placed a hand over his and squeezed, perhaps it was a friendly gesture. I know for a fact through others that Remus and Lily are actually good friends, have been ever since the first Prefect meeting. From what I've heard, because God forbid I should actually know" he made a face as he continued "Lily is quite a touchy person to people she cares about always giving hugs and stuff"
"But…" James held his hand up for silence and Sirius gave it to him, when James was on a roll like this it was normally good to let him finish
"It must be that" he concluded, "Do you really see Moony of all people betraying me like that?" he asked. Sirius shrugged
"No" he admitted
"Well then you were just getting jealous and reacted like an idiot"
"So I'm an idiot now?" Sirius demanded his eyes sparkling in anger again James shook his head
"No mate" he replied calmly "You're just in love and we need to sort that out for you" James looked thoughtful while Sirius gave him a long look.
"Doesn't it bother you?" he suddenly blurted out "that I'm gay and I love Remus, the same Remus we've know for 4 years now?" James shook his head
"I don't think you're gay" he said carefully "I think you're Bi, you like both men and women and there is nothing wrong with that. I don't think it's anything unnatural. When I first figured it out then yeah sure I was surprised then but it's not that startling really I'm used to it now and if you got Moony and the pair of you were happy then nothing else would matter to me" he stopped and looked uncomfortable for a second his cheeks turning red. Sirius gave him a look then leaned forward giving him a large hug
"Thank you James" he murmured, James smiled at him and patted his back before pushing him away
"No problem my dear Padfoot" he replied coughing slightly "That's what best friends are for. Now" he said changing the subject swiftly onto safer ground "We need to sort you and Remmie out. You need to show him how you feel but he is shy so none of the blatant things you do will work. It has to be subtle you have to make him fall in love with you" Sirius's eyes widen
"That's not going to be easy James" he remarked with a laugh "It's Moony he's not exactly open with his feelings"
"See use your knowledge to your advantage, there's several small things you can do, things Remus would appreciate far more then the big things" Sirius nodded his head
"I know of a few things I can do" he replied slowly, James nodded slapping his friend on the back
"Exactly" he stated warmly "And I will try and get Lily Evans to stop looking at me like I'm some kind of bastard" Sirius looked uncomfortable
"James" he began but James interrupted him
"If you're going to tell me that I'll never get with her then save your breath because I know I will, it will take patience. By the end of the year I will be her friend just like you'll be Remus's boyfriend" he noticed the way Sirius eye lit up at the comment "Exactly Sirius, between the two of us Lily and Remus won't know what hit them"
A/N – I love James I decided, I really do, I thought he was a Prat but I just can't make him into one, he always comes out like this and I can't help liking him. See the plots changing, what am I going to put in the summary now? Anyway please review the story I mean you got this far so go for it. Flames though… some people like them but I don't so please respect that fact and not send any
