Life is not a game.

You cannot end life and start new.

Once you die that's it. Game Over. Forever.

But to me, life is a game.

And I win. Every time

But if one is tired of life, there is always a way out....to give up....to forfit....

"Yami, what are you doing?"

Yugi rushed into the room. Little one you know so little....about life...

"Yami, what are you doing in this room all day? I was so worried when you didn't come down and have breakfast, then lunch, and it's almost time for dinner, you have to eat something, just a bite...."

My lighter side, so innocent, so nive.

It sickens me to think he knows nothing

Wow, I sound so much like Bakura. I wonder, where is he? The only other person from my time period, from our home, Ancient Egypt. The only other person who would know how homesick one can be, the only other person knowing how and why this world would classify as a total mess, a total disaster....

"....And I was so worried! Ryou told me that Bakura started acting the same way right before he slit his wrists......."

Oh. So thats what happened to that old thief.

".....So anyway, we need to visit Ryou sometime. He seems so lonely and depressed! I found him in the restrooms and he was preparing to slit his wrists as well! He was screaming and crying and saying how he understands now how cruel the world is and that he wanted Bakura to come back. I him some counseling so he sould be alright...."

My, how can this boy keep his hyperness and happiness in his voice when talking about suicide??

"And that comes back to my original question. Yami, what are you doing?"

I smiled up at him. It was a bitter, sad, and twisted sort of smile.

"Playing life Yugi, playing life."

"What?"

So my little Yugi is confused. He'll figure it out eventually.

"Oh! I see! You're playing Life! I love that game!"

Well, he is sort of right. However, it matters not now. The game willsoon be over and I shall stand victorious.

"Well come down when you're finished, OK?"

"Alright Yugi."

He waltzes down happily. For now.

I sigh as I walk to the bathroom. No stopping now.

I take out a knife and stare at the light flashing off the beautiful silverhandle and blade. We never had stainless steel back in my day. How useful it would have been!

I sigh again. "No procrastinating", I scold myself.

I sigh, but it is a happy sigh this time, as the blade slides through my skineasily and hits a large vein in my wrist.

The blood drips down in large droplets.

Drip

Drip

Drip

How beautiful. Andlook! I'm almost done.

It is Game Overfor my, butI am also victorious.

When Yugi returned to call Yami down, hefound some words written in red ink on the Life game board.

GAME OVER

It was obvious someone lost and someone won, but who?The only person playing was Yami and he was no longer in the room.

"Maybe he is in the bathroom",thought Yugi aloud and uneasily. He felt that something was not right.

When Yugi opened the bathroom door, he gasped in surprise. THen he realized something.

The red ink was not red ink.

It was blood.
