Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, the manga/anime series in any way. If I did… the world… would come to an end… somehow… ??? o.0;; lol
The pleasant sound of chirping birds and the wonderful smell of newly bloomed sakuras evoked his senses as he cracked open his one left eye. His 2 butt cheeks were numb after sleeping on the ever-so-thin tree branch. A nearby woodpecker had been pecking at the tree ever since he had awoken and slowly started to drive him mad. Rubbing his eyes and yawning were signs that he wasn't quite ready to start off the morning and he silently came to the conclusion that this was going to be a long day.
Inuyasha stretched his arms out, when out of the blue he heard a resounding slap from not too far away. A small grin formed on his face as he gave a few light chuckles in knowing that Miroku's hands had wandered where they shouldn't have.
His feet found the ground easily as he headed towards the rest of the group, but had stopped short at the sight before him. Maybe he was still dreaming, for there had to be a mistake! He guffawed. This could not – would not – should not be happening! And yet, it was happening!
Losing his temper, Inuyasha quickly charged at the man before him, but skidded to a halt when Kirara stood, blocking the way. Growling, the hanyou moved around the mini-cat demon and tapped the monk on the shoulder, harshly. Miroku turned his head slightly and saw a familiar sight before him. Inuyasha stood, nearly trembling with anger. Balled fists, haunched shoulders, eyes aflame, the whole enchilada! One thing was for sure, this was not a happy demon and he wasn't going to be any time soon.
A simple clearing of the throat was heard from Kagome, having been standing next to the two the whole time, a spectator. "Inuyasha," she started, "you're being a nagworm! Geez! You get get mad over the slightest noise." "A NAG-WORM!?!?!" he questioned, angrier than before, ten-fold. "Yeeeeeeeeesss." Kagome replied. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I Wake Up To Find You're Making Out With……. HIM!!!" he screamed, hastily pointing a finger at the monk's face. "AND YOU VALL ME A NAGWORM AFTER I COME HERE TRYING TO HELP YOU OUT, KAGOME?!" he finished, waving his arms around in the air frantically.
Kagome let out an annoyed huff. "Really, Inuyasha! Don't you think you're over-reacting, just a bit…?" she asked. "Overreacting…? ONVERREACTING? OVERREACTING?!" he looked at her as if she had gone insane.
She sighed. 'Inuyasha… you're such a baka you know that…?' she thought sadly, trying to hold the tears in. However, they came anyway, crashing down hard like a tidle wave. "Inuyasha…" she sniffled. "Why do you have to be like this? Why can't you just be happy for me? … Just once… ?!" she sobbed out, as she rushed inside Kaede's hut, leaving a small trail of tears. Miroku quickly following after her.
Inuyasha had never felt so guilty before in his life. He had just made Kagome cry. DAMMIT! Why couldn't things ever go his way!?!
