She braced herself outside of the large iron door; plastering a fake smile on her face she pushed it open and immediately entered a burning hot room. This room was more like fiery cave, cries and scream echoed within it and you could swear that someone you had been transported into the deepest part of hell. She was shivering as she walked down the path through the middle of the cave, holding a silver tray containing tea. As she reached the back of the cave she saw a large silhouette sitting in a chair.

"Ryan," The voice said mockingly, "I could swear that I let you spend the night with your family."

"I have no family," She said softly, letting her short dirty blonde hair fall over her eyes.

"Oh that's right," Her master said in a slow drawl, "I forgot. I killed them."

Immediately her laughter filled the empty chamber, echoing in Ryan's inner ears. A silent tear trickeled down her cheek and immediately the laughter stopped.

"Wait a second," The shadow said slowly.

Immediately the shadow snapped her fingers and a large black demon came running in. The monster had large red eyes and sharp teeth. It hunched over and could only make grunting noises.

It walked slowly over to her and began breathing in the air around her, it fed off her sadness, her fears.

"Good Bruno," The shadow whispered, as one might whisper to a pet.

Ryan set the tea down on the floor in front of the throne and began to walk away.

"Where are you going," Her master asked.

"Back to my chambers."

"No," The shadow snapped at her, "I want you to watch something."

Immediately there were gleaming red eyes on the shadow as she stared at the frightened girl intensly. The shadow waved her hands and immediatly a picture was brought up, in the picture there was a black girl walking down the hallway of a treehouse toward the bathroom.

"How long has it been since I've had a victim."

"7 years," Ryan replied in a shaky voice.

The shadow laughed.

"lets have some fun."
