Author's Notes: I got a strange urge to write a short drabble about Lee, so here it is. Enjoy. Oh yeah…I don't own Naruto. I'm not THAT creative. So please don't sue!

"Lee-san!"

I raise my head high enough off of the hospital pillow to see Sakura standing at the door, "Sakura-chan."

"Lee-san, what did you do to yourself this time?" she shook her head as she entered, her soft pink hair swishing in front of her face.

I smiled, "Training."

She tsked at me before she reached for the bandages that wrapped my head. I closed my eyes, letting the feel of her swift hands on my face overwhelm my senses.

It's sad, isn't it? Falling in love, that is. Being so completely devoted to one person that anything and everything does not matter.

It is no secret that I love Sakura-chan. She is simply amazing. Not many people could deal with that Uchiha bastard, but she does. She puts up with everything he throws at her. I smile wryly to myself. Seems like the two of us are more similar than we would like to let on.

I would die for her. I would kill for her. Yet my love is unrequited. Dark thoughts begin to filter through my mind. What does that Uchiha have that I don't? Well, besides good looks. I beat him down! I saved the people who I care about. He tried to kill them. He is going to kill Sakura-chan one of these days. Perhaps not physically, but mentally…she will be destroyed. She'll become a tainted cherry blossom. I hope he's happy. In his quest to kill one murderer, he'll create another, if not more.

I feel Sakura-chan's hands stop. I open my eyes to see her looking at the stark white walls but not really seeing them. She's thinking. Thinking about that Uchiha, I'm sure.

I open my mouth to say something. I want to comfort her. I want to tell her that he is not worth her time. I want to…I want to convince her to love me. She notices my small movement and looks at me. Instantly, all thoughts in my head were scattered. She was crying. I reached up with and brushed a tear away.

"Don't cry, Sakura-chan. I'm sure he'll come back," I smile at her.

She didn't reply. She gathered her supplies and stood up. As she turned away and walked to the door, I heard a small, "Thank you, Lee-san."

I settled back into the bed. No, Sakura-chan, thank you.
