Mistakes
D.I.S.C.L.A.I.M.E.R.: I don't own Shaman King or any of it's characters.
Pilika slowly approached the short Chinese shaman. She gulped and noticed her knees where shaking and after steadying them, continued towards him.
Tao Ren, the boy who had been onii-chan's much cursed rival. Tao Ren, the boy who hid his feelings. Tao Ren, the boy she secretly loved.
Pilika felt her heart thudding and worried she might have a heart attack. But luckily she kept walking and soon she had strode over to Ren.
"Hi Ren. Can I talk to you?" Ren look her over and sniffed snobbily.
"I can't see why not." He grumbled and Pilika smiled weakly.
"Ren, I think I may, I mean I know but it's just that well you see, I kinda, sorta, really, very love you." Pilika babbled and she felt like she couldn't breathe. When she had said she loved him it seemed the wind had been knocked out of her.
She waited patiently but Ren just became unnaturally silent. Ren then looked away, slight tears in his eyes that only Pilika could see.
"You dumb girl," He muttered sadly. Pilika's eyes widened with hurt.
"Don't you love me back, Ren?" Pilika forced her self to ask, her eyes brimming with un-wanted tears. And that's were Ren went wrong. He should have taken her hands in his and kissed her, saying,
"Yes, he did love her." But what he did next, he would forever regret. He looked at the ground and muttered a strangled
"No." before walking away, leaving both him and Pilika broken hearted. He knew he loved her but his father demanded perfection.
And perfection didn't include love, according to his father.
A few years had passed since that tragic day and Ren had grown more in love with Pilika with each passing day.
He thought of her constantly and constantly wished he had told her the truth. He owed her that much. Ren knocked on the door of the Usui residence and was surprised when a very grown up Pilika answered it.
"Ren?" Pilika whispered and a stubborn tear rolled down her chin. Ren wanted to be able to wipe it away but he stood his ground.
"Pilika, I need to be honest. That day when I said no, I didn't mean it! I've always loved you and always will. I'm so sorry!"
Pilika's face turned red as tears flowed rapidly down her tired face. She began to shut the door on him, muttering one thing.
"Too late, Ren."
In my stupidity
I told a lie
Hiding true feelings
I made you cry
But can't you see
The one crying hardest is me
THE END
Authors Notes: I was a little bit behind on my RenxPilika so I wrote this. I usually write ones where they get together not fall apart. I wanted to try something different. But I like it much better when they're together than apart like this. Please don't flame me, they will get together and all those RenXPilika haters, stop doing victory dances! ((Ahem)) Anyways hope you enjoyed this and yes I did write the poem up there. It's not my best work or very good.
