………………I've done it, I've finally done it…………………
The liquid reflected the glowing silver moonlight onto Kai's pale skin, the same skin he had just pierced….
The crimson liquid seeped through the fresh cut like lava oozing out of a volcano. Slowly but surely, it traveled down his lower arm, between his fingers and landed with a drip, onto the wooden floor boards.
He didn't feel anything, no pain, no depression, no emotion. He only sat there alone, in the cold darkness of his bedroom, clutching insanely onto the blood-covered dagger. His eyes were still, so concentrated that his pupils were mere slits. He watched as each drop of blood added to the forming pool on the floor. He didn't know, he didn't understand, he didn't want to believe. Unanswered questions continuously rushed through his mind; it was driving him completely insane.
He was torn between reality and fantasy, he wanted, needed to get away from all his problems, to his fantasy world, where nothing was wrong, where everything was perfect. But cruel reality wouldn't allow that; instead, reality gave him the torture of life, and the pain of enduring it. But he decided he couldn't take anymore, he would break the rules, he would find a way out of life.
His vision began to feel hazy; his eye lids slowly drooped to a close. The clunk of the dagger being dropped sounded distant and quiet. His body felt as if weights were tied all around it, his muscles ached. He opened his eyes again; he wasn't looking at the pool of blood anymore, he saw the slight cracks in the floor boards, he realized he hadn't felt himself slump onto the floor, nor did he feel the blood gradually seep into his rumpled clothes. His eyes closed again, nerve by nerve, cell by cell, his mind was slowly shutting down. Shutting down the game of life.
