Chapter Ten
Meeting Vlad and Getting Mad
There was something about Vlad that Lizzie found welcoming and nice, and as soon as she realized who he was (Nev's cousin—the girl she had dinner with the first night on the boat) she figured it wouldn't hurt to talk to him. She didn't plan to make Gordo jealous or anything, but she did.
Gordo finally got the drinks after waiting in the long line and when he was thinking about the incident in the bathroom when he spotted Lizzie…with another guy. She looked like she was flirting with him as they talked. Gordo stormed over to the table heatedly and handed Lizzie her drink and sat down on the other side of Lizzie.
Lizzie looked over at him and smiled, "Hey, Gordo! This is Vlad."
"Hi," Gordo said, but the greeting wasn't warm.
Lizzie looked at the two males on both sides of her. It was then, that she realized, that this was quite a predicament and she didn't know how to approach this. She thanked Gordo for her drink and gave him a kiss on the cheek. This made Gordo feel a little better.
The kiss didn't seem to affect Vlad as he went on to talk, "Yeah, so I'm in a band."
"Really?" Lizzie's eyes widened, "What do you play?"
"I play the keyboard."
"Oh yeah?" Gordo asked, determined to get this guy out of here, "what's the name of the band?"
"Different Night."
Gordo raised his eyebrow, "Is it punk?"
"No way! Punk sucks! It's rock."
Yeah, Gordo decided he didn't like this guy. Not only was he rich, but also everything about him bothered Gordo.
Lizzie, of course, was oblivious all of this, "So, where do you live?"
"Annapolis."
"Hmm," Lizzie said, nodding her head.
"So, do you want to dance?" Vlad asked, glancing at Gordo.
Lizzie didn't know what to do. She looked over at Gordo, "Is it okay with you?"
Gordo shrugged. Did he have any choice? He didn't want to come off as rude, "Sure."
"Thanks."
Vlad stood up and held his hand out for Lizzie and Lizzie accepted. Gordo watched as they danced and wondered how such a great night could become so horrible so fast.
It seemed like forever until Lizzie came back and when she did, Vlad was with her and they were both smiling and looking like they were mad for each other. At least that is the way Gordo saw it.
Lizzie sighed as she wiped her forehead, "You are a great dancer! I am exhausted! Gordo, are you ready to go back to the hotel?"
"What hotel are you staying at?"
"Holiday Inn," Lizzie answered.
"Cool. Maybe we'll see each other around."
"Yeah," Lizzie said, taking one last sip of her drink, "Gordo, are you ready to go?"
"Yeah," Gordo said, getting up quickly to avoid Vlad. He knew he was probably just being paranoid and that Vlad was harmless, but he hated this feeling. All he wanted to do now was take Lizzie away so they could be alone again.
And that is what he did.
The next morning, Matt woke up and was sitting on the bed with his guitar. He wanted to work on a song for Miranda and he wanted it to be perfect.
When Matt woke up that morning, he was pleased to find himself having Miranda in his arms. He nuzzled into her neck for a few minutes before getting up.
He secretly hoped he would wake Miranda up so they could spend most of the morning together, but Miranda didn't seem to stir.
What Matt didn't know is that Miranda woke up in the middle of the night after an intense dream and had trouble getting back to sleep. She dreamt that she and Matt finally made love and it was amazing and passionate. When she woke up she found herself yearning for Matt's touch and sweet kisses and suddenly the thought came to her…what would happen once they got back to school?
After hours of thinking about this, Miranda concluded that Matt was worth every comment and judgement people would make. That is, after all, what love is all about, right? She finally fell back into a slumber, happily dreaming of her Matt.
When Miranda did finally wake up that morning, she saw Matt and smiled, secretly wondering what would happen between the two of them that day.
She crawled over to him and pinned him on the bed, moving her body on top of his after putting the guitar aside and pulling him into a kiss. This completely surprised Matt, but in a good way as Miranda sensually kissed the being below her as her hand grazed upon his bare stomach. Their mouths let go of each other as Miranda smiled, "Good morning."
"No," Matt said, shaking his head and smiling as he rolled her over so he was on top," Great morning," he and Miranda went in for another kiss as their bodies touched and could hear the other's hear beat become faster and faster. Miranda let out a soft moan as she bit Matt's lip, "Matt!" she cried, feeling tingles all over her body as she desperately felt around Matt's lower body, "Matt! Please! This is killing me!"
"Not right now," Matt said, kissing her.
This surprised Miranda, "What do you mean?"
"I mean," Matt said, "I don't want it to happen right now. Not like this."
Miranda bit her lip. After the dream she had last night, she did really want this, "What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean," Matt said, "I want our first time to be really special."
Miranda couldn't exactly say that this was special, but she really did want Matt.
"Fine," Miranda said, playing with Matt's chest with her fingers as she looked up at him, "I love you."
"I love you more," Matt said as he gave Miranda one last kiss before he got off of her, "I'm going to take a shower and get ready for the day," he announced.
"Okay," Miranda said reaching for the remote to see what was on TV. While Matt was in the shower, the phone to their room rang. Miranda picked it up, "Hello?" Miranda said.
"Miranda?" the person on the other line said, "It's Lizzie. Gordo and I just had a fight and I could really use a friend right now."
"Are you okay?" Miranda asked, worriedly.
"Just come over here. Gordo left and I can't find him!"
