A/N: Sorry for my long absence. I have this thing five times a week called school and its really starting to get on my nerves. I am thinking about quitting. LOL.
Chapter Thirteen
Fooling with Fate
"I'm so sorry, Liz," Gordo said, giving Lizzie a long and drawn-out hug, "I didn't mean to act the way I did. I guess I was just jealous."
Lizzie hugged him back and they sat on the bed with the intentions of talking everything out. Gordo took Lizzie's hand and started to explain, "You mean the world to me, Lizzie. I guess I get jealous when other guys show interest in you. I'm afraid that people like Vlad will steal you away from me and that's the last thing I want."
"I understand," Lizzie said, "I really do, but you are going to have to trust me and my actions. I don't have any interest in Vlad. You have my whole heart, Gordo. I'd never be able to give that much to another single person. I love you."
Gordo was glad to hear this. He brought both of their hands to his lips and kissed Lizzie's hand, "I love you, too, Lizzie. I guess since we are engaged now, I want to make sure we both want to get married."
"I want to get married," Lizzie said, grinning, "I've always wanted to marry you."
Gordo grinned, still holding Lizzie's hand, "I want to marry you, too."
Gordo leaned in and kissed Lizzie on the lips. Lizzie kissed back and this kiss was filled with so much depth and passion that it assured that both of them really were ready for what was to come next in their future. The kiss only lasted a few minutes, as Lizzie pulled away and looked deeply into Gordo's eyes, "Please, Gordo. Whatever you do, please don't run away from me ever again."
"I won't," Gordo assured her, giving her a small kiss on the lips, "I could never do that to you."
After spending a few more minutes talking on the bed, deciding what to do for the day, they finally decided to call Matt and Miranda to see if they wanted to go to a movie or something.
Miranda picked up and said that they were busy and that she would call back when they weren't. "I don't even want to know what they are busy doing," Lizzie commented after Gordo told her what Miranda said.
Gordo rolled his eyes, but smiled, as he went back on the bed and crawled on top of Lizzie, as she was lying on the bed. When his lips were inches away from hers, he said, "Probably playing Pictionary or tic- tac- toe," and he kissed her.
Lizzie giggled from underneath Gordo, "Don't joke like that."
"Sorry, I couldn't help it."
Lizzie grinned, "You know how competitive Miranda and Matt are. This could be a very close match."
"Not as close as our match," Gordo said, leaning down to kiss her again. They ended up making out as they waited for Miranda and Matt.

After Miranda got out of her shower, Matt ordered room service for the both of them, figuring that way; afterwards they could do something without having to worry about eating. While waiting for the food to come up, Miranda got dressed and came out of the bathroom and presented herself to Matt, "Hey," she said.
Matt, who was sitting at the table in the room near the window stood up and gave Miranda a kiss on the cheek and put his arm around her, "I missed you so much," he said, with a little hint of sarcasm.
"So did I," Miranda said back, catching the sarcasm, and throwing it back in his direction, "When will the food be ready?"
"Not for another half an hour."
"Oh," Miranda said, looking at Matt and grinning.
Matt grinned back, a little confused, "What?"
"Oh, nothing," Miranda said, "I was just thinking about how especially cute you look today."
Matt smiled, "Oh, really? Don't I look especially cute everyday?"
Miranda hit Matt playfully on the shoulder, "Oh, shut up and kiss me," she said.
Matt shrugged, "Alright," he said and he took her in his arms and kissed her as she requested, softly on the mouth.
When his lips parted from hers, she asked timidly, "Why'd you stop?"
He shrugged and kissed her again. She wrapped her arms around him and led him to the bed, where they dropped, with Matt on top of her. Matt continued kissing her as the passion continued to build up and their hormones almost exploded. Miranda rolled over so she was on top and started kissing his neck. Matt started to put his hands up her shirt but stopped at her stomach, as it occurred to him that this was a very familiar situation.
Not that he didn't like this, but it seemed like they made out more than anything when they still had so much to learn about each other. If this is all they did, he thought, then what the hell were they. It got to the point where Matt couldn't take it anymore and told Miranda to stop kissing him. Miranda stopped and looked at Matt, concerned, "Is something wrong."
"No," Matt said, a little flushed, "I mean…the food will be here in a few minutes and I think maybe we should stop for the food."
Miranda nodded her head although she had a feeling something else was wrong, "Oh." Miranda got off of him and stood up and disappeared into the bathroom. When Miranda got back, she found Matt sitting down at the table near the window again, starring out of the window. "Are you okay?" Miranda asked.
Matt looked at her and nodded his head, "Yeah, I'll be fine. There's something I want to talk to you about, though."
"Okay," Miranda said, sitting across from him on the other side of the table, "What?"
At that moment the phone rang. Miranda stood up and said, "I'll get it."
Matt let her get it and thought about what he was going to say to her when she returned. What he really wanted to know was where their relationship stood. Was this just a fling? Could it be more serious? These were the kind of things he wanted to know, so he would know now to let his heart get broken if she wasn't as serious as he was.
A minute later, Miranda returned, "That was Gordo. He wanted to know if we wanted to do something together. I told him we were busy." Miranda sat back down, facing Matt.
"Miranda," he said, taking a huge breath, "What are we exactly?"
Miranda didn't know what to say. She laughed nervously, "What do you mean?"
Matt sighed, "I mean, are we just a fling? When this trip is over, do we have a future? What will happen to us when we get back to high school?"
Miranda was speechless. She couldn't lie and say she hadn't thought about this herself, but she couldn't come up with an answer, either. At times, she felt like he was a fling, but most of the time she felt such a strong connection that she was pretty sure they were something more. What WOULD happen to them once they returned to school?
Matt noticed that she wasn't answering the question and didn't know how to take this. All he really wanted was assurance. He wanted to know that when they walked down the hallway at school, he would have every right in the world to hold her and touch her and they would treat each other like a real couple.
A knock was heard and Matt got up and answered the door. It was the room service Matt had ordered. The man carried the trays in and Matt signed the paper and the man left. Matt closed the door and turned back to Miranda, still waiting for her to say something. "Matt," she finally said softly, "Sometimes I wonder the same thing. I mean, I told you that I loved you and that wasn't a lie but I have no idea what the future has in store for us."
Matt looked down, disheartened, "I know what you mean."
Miranda went on, "A few days ago, when this relationship first started with that kiss, I was pretty sure this was going to be just one amazing fling. I mean, you are such a great kisser and I could spend all day making out with you. But things changed. The more time I spent with you and the more the more we talked, the more I realized that this was going to be a lot more than just a fling. I knew that when I wanted to spend every waking moment with you just to be with you that this was special."
Matt grinned, "I feel the same way, Miranda."
"So, when it comes back to getting back to the real world, I wouldn't be lying to you if I told you that I want things to continue as they are right now."
Matt smiled, "Really? Even if I am a freshman and you are a senior?"
Miranda nodded her head, "Matt, I am so in love with you that I don't care what other people think. If we ended our relationship after this, I know I would miss everything about the feelings I feel right now."
Matt took Miranda's hand into his from across the table and spoke up, "Miranda, I love you so much. I look forward to whatever life has to offer for our relationship. I'm really glad you feel the same way."
Miranda blew a kiss to Matt and they ate their food, exchanging loving glances between each other throughout the meal and having their feet dance with each other as they ate.
After they finished, Miranda called Gordo and Lizzie and Lizzie picked the phone up, giggling, "Hey," she said, as if she knew who it was.
Miranda threw a strange expression to Matt, "Hey, Lizzie," she said, "We're finished with lunch. Would you like to do something."
"Sure," Lizzie said, as if she was catching her breath, "Ooh, Miranda, I really want to go shopping."
Miranda could hear Gordo in the back ground say, "Shopping? Can't we do something else?"
Miranda grinned, "I'd love to go shopping. I think I want to but that pink shirt we saw yesterday."
"Yeah, that looked really great on you, Miranda."
"But what about Matt and Gordo? I mean, I can hear Gordo complaining in the background and I can see Matt looking not thrilled about the idea."
"Ahh, let them do something else," Lizzie said, "You could use a break from Matt, couldn't you?"
"What would they do?"
"Well, Gordo really wants to see a movie. Maybe they could go to a movie."
"Okay."
They said their goodbyes and hung up the phone. "Trying to get rid of me, eh?" Matt said, with sarcasm.
Miranda rolled her eyes, "If you say so. We'll see each other tonight."
Matt and Miranda continued to get ready and met up with Lizzie and Gordo in the hallway fifteen minutes later. Lizzie and Miranda went shopping and Gordo and Matt went to a movie.
Lizzie and Miranda ran into a certain someone in the middle of their shopping spree, and this only presided to what was going to happen next.
