A/N: School is still taking me away from my freedom. I have less than a month before I get out of school and I have, like, four projects due in the next two weeks and also two finals that I have to pass. On top of that, I've been sick. I'm taking a break for you guys, though! Thanks for the reviews!

Chapter Fourteen

Oh, For Crying Out Loud!

"Blair?" Miranda exclaimed, looking at the guy in front of her.

"Miranda!" Blair exclaimed, "I haven't seen you in a few days! How have you been?"

"Great," Miranda said, honestly. She'd never felt happier, actually.

Blair nodded, "That's good."

Suddenly, Miranda realized she hadn't asked him how he'd been, "How about you?" she asked.

Blair nodded, "I'm doing okay. Actually, Nev and I had a fight yesterday, so I've been better, but it's okay. I think we were getting sick of each other yesterday," he then looked from Miranda to Lizzie and held out his hand, "I'm sorry. Have we met? I'm Blair."

Lizzie nodded her head, shaking her head, "Yeah, we met the first night on the boat. I'm Lizzie, though."

Blair nodded. Suddenly, two other guys appeared behind him, both holding coffee, "Ready, Blair?" one of them asked, handing him a cup.

Blair turned to his friends as if he was caught a little off guard by their presence, "Oh, hey," he accepted the cup of coffee and proceeded to introduce everyone, "Lizzie and Miranda, these are by friends Lester and Bartolemeo." Lester had reddish hair and green eyes and Bartolemeo was undoubtedly Italian with dark, handsome features as well as a thick accent to top it all off.

Everyone shook hands and they spoke a few more minutes, exchanging contact information in case they wanted to get together later that night and Blair definitely showed interest in Miranda and Miranda couldn't help but feel flattered.

Miranda and Lizzie shopped at a few more places, buying mostly clothing and a few souvenirs and as they got back to their hotel, they ran into Gordo and Matt. "Hey," they said as Lizzie kissed Gordo lightly on the lips and Miranda kissed Matt on the cheek.

"How was the movie?" Lizzie asked, pressing the button for the elevator.

"It was okay," Gordo said, "I think Matt liked it a little better than me. I missed you, though."

Miranda looked at Matt, waiting for him to say something about the movie, but he didn't. He just pulled Miranda into a tighter hug and kissed her on the forehead. The elevator was ready for them and they entered it and when they reached their floor, they went to their rooms.

As soon as Matt and Miranda had closed the door, Matt immediately pulled her into the kiss of her lifetime. After a few minutes, she pulled away, "What was that for?" she asked, smiling, still in his arms.

"I just missed you, that's all."

Miranda rolled her eyes and hit him playfully; "We were only away from each other for two hours!"

"So? I would have much rather gone to that movie with you than with Gordo."

"Aww," Miranda said, kissing him, "That's sweet."

"How was shopping?"

"It was fun," Miranda said, "Lizzie and I ran into Blair and apparently he and Nev have kind of broken up."

"Hmm," Matt said, not really interested, "Too bad. They seemed so perfect for each other."

"I know," Miranda said, "Anyway, he invited all of us to do something tonight, like see some performance. Are you interested?"

"What kind of performance?"

Miranda shrugged, "A play, I guess. What do you think?"

"Honestly?" Matt said, "I'd rather just spend the evening with you, if that's okay."

"Oh, come on! It might be fun!" Miranda said, trying to convince him to change his mind, "I mean, we didn't do anything last night and tomorrow night is our last night until we have to get back on the boat!"

"So? Can't we do something tomorrow night?"

"No, I want to have you all to myself tomorrow night."

Matt grinned, suggestively, "You do?"

Miranda rolled her eyes, "Not like that, but you know, just the two of us out on the town or something."

"Oh," Matt said, sounding a little disappointed.

Miranda sighed, "So, what do you say? Do we want to do something tonight with Blair and his friends or do you want to be the party pooper ad say no?"

"Well, when you put it that way…"

Miranda smiled, "Oh, Thank you, Matt," and she gave him a hug.

Meanwhile, Lizzie was trying to do the same thing with Gordo with convincing him that it might be fun. Gordo was a little skeptical, though, "Will Vlad be there?"

Lizzie shook her head, "I doubt it. He and Nev are having a fight and since Vlad is Nev's cousin, I imagine that he will be with a different crowd tonight.

Gordo shrugged, "Okay. I'm there."

Lizzie smiled, "Great. This sounds like a lot of fun."

"Maybe," Gordo said, "Unless…should I be concerned about you and this Blair guy?"

Lizzie rolled her eyes, "No way. One, he's not my type and two, he was totally flirting with Miranda when we saw him."

"Maybe we should warn Matt," Gordo said, sitting on their bed and pulling her onto his lap.

Lizzie giggled, "Are you crazy? Miranda and Matt are crazy about each other."

Gordo raised his eyebrow, "I've never heard you say that before."

Lizzie shrugged, "I don't know, I guess I realized that Matt and Miranda do really love each other. Maybe I have underestimated their relationship after all."

"Good to hear, " Gordo said, "I knew you'd come around."

Lizzie grinned and she and Gordo shared a kiss that was cut short by the phone ringing. Lizzie answered it to find that it was Miranda, "So, did Gordo say we could go tonight?"

"Yep, looks like we're going."

"Yay!" Miranda squealed, "This should be so much fun!"

"I know. I wonder what it is exactly that we'll be doing."

"Well, Blair said that we'd be at some sort of performance. I don't know what type of performance, but I'm thinking that it's a play because those guys with him looked a lot like actors."

"Are we going to dinner afterwards or before?"

"I don't know. Matt and I were thinking we'd just wait until afterwards, seeing how we ate a late lunch."

Lizzie nodded, "Well, I'll probably be hungry by then, so Gordo and I will probably eat before."

"Okay. Want to meet in the lobby at around seven, then?"

"Sounds great." Lizzie hung up the phone, "Okay," she said to Gordo, "we have about two hours until we should probably eat and we have three until we meet up with Miranda and Matt. What do you want to do until then?"

Gordo gave Lizzie a soft kiss on her lips, "You know exactly what I want to do," he said.

Lizzie giggled, leaning into him and giving him a big kiss in return, "I like the way you think."

"That's good to know," he said and they leaned back into the bed as they kissed.

Miranda hung up the phone and saw that Matt was reading the TV guide. "Am I that boring?" she teased, as she sat next to him.

Matt shrugged, "Apparently."

"Oh, Matt!" Miranda said, "What am I going to do with you?"

"Love me," he grinned.

"But I already do," she said, putting her head on his shoulder.

"I love you, too."

Miranda was silent for a minute, until she thought of something, "You are my first real love, you know."

"I am?" Matt asked, confused, "You mean you've never loved anyone before?"

Miranda shook her head, "I've never felt this way about anyone I've dated."

Matt sat thoughtfully for a moment. He was sorry to say that he did love Melinda at some point in his life before Miranda, but he did feel a stronger connection with Miranda than he ever did with Melina. He put the TV Guide on the floor and wrapped his arm around Miranda, kissing her on the forehead. He didn't say anything, but he didn't have to because he knew that she knew everything he was thinking.

For the rest of the afternoon, Matt and Miranda mostly cuddled with each other on their bed, occasionally exchanging kisses and constantly stealing each other's glances. They didn't say many things, but they could feel the love that they shared and sometimes, this was enough to speak millions of words.

They were an indestructible force together, never to be separated.

…Or so they thought.
