Chapter Fifteen
The performance Blair invited them to turned out to be a musical performance where Blair was in the band, and so were Lester and Bartolemeo, the guys that were with Blair earlier. The setting was small, yet intimate and as they were playing, Gordo and Lizzie were busy playing tongue hockey. Watching the two going at it was crazy, as you couldn't help but wonder if they'd actually take things a little further...perhaps to second base or something.
The night started out okay, with a nice set and the band rocking the place. About halfway through the set, however, as Blair was about to introduce the next song when the doors to the place opened and in stormed Nev...who appeared to be drunk. Everyone looked her way and Blair was perhaps the most perplexed as Nev wandered a little closer to the stage. Lizzie released her tongue from Gordo's mouth and they watched the drama ensue. "Blair!" she shouted, not seeming to care that the whole place was watching her.
"Lizzie!" Gordo whispered, "this is none of our business. Let's just do what we were doing before."
Lizzie hit him on the shoulder, "No way! I want to see what happens!"
Gordo rolled his eyes and they watched as Nev made a fool of herself, "Blair! I still love you!" she cried dramatically.
"Are you drunk?" Blair asked.
"So what if I am?" Nev spat, as she looked around the room, "I can drink if I want to! The man I love doesn't love me anymore! You can't tell me what to do!"
Blair laughed nervously, "Honey, I'm kind of in the middle of a show here."
"Oh, well excuse me!" Nev said, "Excuse me for interrupting your little band, but I think you should find a new way to get back home because you are not coming with me!"
Panicked, Blair took off his guitar and said, "Wait!" as he jumped from the stairs. This completely perplexed the rest of the band as they watched Blair chase Nev who had stormed off and gone outside.
"That was weird," Miranda said, speaking to the table.
"Yeah," Lizzie said, "what do you think they'll do now?"
"I don't know," Miranda responded.
"Do you think we should leave?" Lizzie wondered.
"Yes," both of the guys said in unison. They both wanted to spend some time with their girls.
They got up and decided since they hadn't eaten anything for dinner, they would grab a bite to eat and then go back to the hotel. By the time they finished eating, it was after ten and they walked back to their hotel. When they got back to their hotel, they saw the strangest thing. Sure enough, right there in the lobby for everyone to see, Blair and Nev were sitting on the couch, going at it like rabbits. Lizzie, Miranda, Matt, and Gordo exchanged looks before scurrying up to their own rooms.
In Lizzie's room, the activities became pretty steamy as Gordo made it clear that he needed Lizzie right then and right there. The door was barely closed before Gordo grabbed a hold of Lizzie and kissed her lips madly as he lead her to the bed and Lizzie giggled, unopposed to the idea at first, before she interrupted and as he lay atop her, they looked into each other's eyes and said, "Gordo, since we are engaged now," she started, "I really think we should try and...refrain from having sex until we are married. That way, it will make our wedding night something to look forward to happening."
Gordo frowned, obviously a little disappointed as to what she was suggesting, "Are you sure that's what you really want?"
Lizzie slowly nodded her head, "Yeah."
"Can we get married tonight?"
Lizzie smiled, "I'm afraid that means that we have to wait until we graduate."
"But I really need you tonight," Gordo begged, "can't we just have it tonight for one last time before we get married?"
Lizzie rolled her eyes, then slowly a smile came from her lips as she looked straight into Gordo's eyes, "Oh, all right," she said, "I wanted it one last time myself."
Gordo and Lizzie got back into getting busy once again, afterwards falling asleep.
In the meantime, when Miranda and Gordo got back, they got ready for bed, made out a little, but mostly cuddled, comfortable in knowing that this was what they were put here on earth for...to be together, without necessarily BEING together. Eventually, they fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning, they agreed to meet each other for breakfast in the breakfast room of the hotel. When they came down there and arrived, however, they realized they would have company. For, over in the corner of the room, feeding each other random items of food, sat Blair and Nev, "It seems like someone was busy last night," Matt mumbled as they headed for the buffet assortments.
"I can't believe this is our last full day here. I'm getting so used to this whole feeling of freedom from parental units. It will absolutely suck when we have to go back home," Lizzie said, as she grabbed her plate.
"I know," Gordo said, "but at least we are graduating in three months, which gives us complete and permanent freedom from our parents."
"Yeah, well, I have three more years, guys," Matt said.
"Aww," Miranda said, "My poor baby. Maybe you can come and visit me when I am in college."
Matt frowned, "But you'll be over two hours away. We'll barely be able to see each other."
"We'll work it out, baby," Miranda said, giving Matt a quick peck on the cheek.
A minute later, when everyone had their plates filled with an assortment of pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruit, bread, muffins, and eggs, they all went to a table and sat down. Blair and Nev left shortly after they sat down, giving the entire breakfast room basically to themselves, with the exception of some various people scattered about reading the newspaper.
"Okay, you guys," Lizzie said, looking at Gordo, Miranda, and Matt, "What are we going to do today?"
"Well," Miranda said, "Matt and I want to have tonight alone. Maybe we should just spend the entire day doing our own thing. You and Gordo can do something and Matt and I will do something. Does that sound okay or do you want all four of us to hang out?"
"That sounds fine with me," Lizzie said.
"Me too," Gordo agreed.
"Me three," Matt said.
After they finished eating breakfast, Lizzie excused herself to the restroom and asked Miranda to accompany her. Miranda agreed and as they excused themselves, Gordo and Matt shrugged, "What is it with girls going to the bathroom in groups?" Gordo asked.
Once Lizzie and Miranda were safely in the bathroom, Lizzie made sure no one else was in there and locked the door to make sure no one else would come in. She then took a seat in one of the chairs in the waiting room.
"What is it, Lizzie?" Miranda asked.
Lizzie, looking really stressed, struggled to come up with words, "Miranda, last night I told Gordo that I didn't want to have sex with him again until we were married."
"That's good!" Miranda said, "That's really special, Lizzie. Good for you! What's the problem."
"The reason I asked for that is because," Lizzie said, as she started nervously cracking her knuckles, "I'm a few days late."
It took a minute for Miranda to realize what Lizzie was trying to say, but when it hit her, she gasped, "Lizzie!" she said and then she thought about it for a minute, "Wait...I thought you were on the pill."
"I was...I mean I am...but the pill isn't always reliable, you know?"
"So, you think you are pregnant?"
Lizzie shrugged, still looking a little stressed, "I don't know. I mean, I'm three days late and it isn't that long, but the pill is supposed to work like clockwork. I don't know what to do."
"If you are...you know...the baby would be Gordo's...right?"
Lizzie rolled her eyes as a tear rolled down, "Of course it would be! I just don't know if I'm ready for all of this yet!"
"I'll tell you what," Miranda said, as she tried to comfort her best friend, "while Matt and I are out today, I'll sneak off and buy you a pregnancy test."
"It's too early for that, Miranda!"
"Maybe not. If the conception happened over two weeks ago, some pregnancy tests can tell that early."
Lizzie nodded her head, "Okay, I'll do it."
"Good."
Just then, they heard someone trying to get the door open. Miranda got up to unlock the door, "Lizzie, everything is going to be okay. You love Gordo and Gordo loves you. Even if you are not pregnant, you made a very good decision to stop having sex with Gordo."
Lizzie smiled as she walked over to the sink to try and wash her face as Miranda unlocked the door to let the person in before giving her friend a hug. The "intruder" who was ready to get really mad seemed to feel sorry as she noticed someone was feeling bad.
"Everything is going to be okay," Miranda assured Lizzie, "Trust me."
